At 5 weeks we noticed LO's size 1 (avent) teats were almost vaccuming in on themself so LO was getting alot of air / wind. So we moved to size 2 and all was good! But now at 8 weeks weve noticed the same is happening on his size 2 teats.
Is it too early to move up to size 3?
Glad you asked this. Ours do the same. Didn't even think it was to do with the teat size
We haven't changed teat size since they were born. Is that bad?:j:T Gorgeous twin girls born 1st Nov 2012 :T:j0 -
Im loving the ASDA nappies, once i run out of all my Pampers boxes i will not re purchase, i will save a fortune !Mejor morir de pie que vivir toda una vida de rodillas.0

Thanks for all your well wishes
I'm OK thanks, just feeling really low on energy. LO and I are off to my parents' on Thursday for 10 days, am looking forward to a break - this working mum business is hard work!
Went for a pedicure in my lunch break today - a nice treat that only involved sittingHadn't been in ages - in fact I know exactly when I last went: 8th May, I was one day overdue with LO and too pregnant to reach my feet
Having an early night - sending sleep dust to all the babies (mine included!) x0 -

My LO is 10 months and we still haven't changed them! The lovely ladies on here assured me that as long as we don't have any issues with feeding, then that's absolutely fineI know Ro and maybe others on here just poked another hole with a sterile needle instead of buying new teats - you could always try this with one bottle and see how you get on?

Thanks nutella, the teats do end up going into the bottle cos they suck all the air out so maybe if I stab another hole in them it would solve their wind issues. Hopefully
Btw way, hope you feel better xx:j:T Gorgeous twin girls born 1st Nov 2012 :T:j0 -

Get well soon Nutella xx
Love Freddie in Mummy's hat fluff!
Gilly - Ahh but think how exciting being a toddler will beI know what you mean though, I bawled when LO when in her big cot a few weeks ago because she wasn't a newborn in her moses basket any more
Morocha - I am glad you like Asda nappies, I'm looking forward to trying them!
Thanks for the tip about the Inspiration Tree blog it's looks ace!
All good here, the night time formula seems to work a treat, we've had some 7 hour sleeps without waking and now if she does wake its only for 10 minute feed then straight back to sleep - have a few bad nights here and there but more good than bad. I do think its a mixture of formula and getting older and more settled.
Completely out of her 0-3 clothes now. I looked wistfully at the gorgeous newborn clothes in mamas and papas last week - can't believe where the last 3 months have gone never mind the last year & finding out I was pregnant! She'll be 18 before I Know it :rotfl:
I have noticed that there doesn't seem to be enough milk for her on one boob in the day so have to swap her over after about 8-10 minutes. Is this normal? Can milk dry up? She still feeds every 2 hours in the day.
(re: teats, I swapped her onto size 2 teats and she choked and spluttered so went back to size 1 straight away - she was not ready for that!!)
Hope all are well0 -
G isn't all that bothered about tv yet either, I put Bob the Builder on in the afternoons and he's starting to recognise the song and bop along to it but he loses interest in the story. I end up sat there shushing him so I can see the end!
Just typical that its a nice day when I've had to cancel my friend coming over and going out for tea and cake - want to keep this bundle of germs tucked up in the warm really.
OH taught him to dunk his own crackers in houmous at the weekend, and now he's trying to dunk everything! So cute, even though 98% of the time he doesn't manage to get anything on his cracker, just prods it around in there looking pleased with himselfNewborn thread member

Officially, you're meant to offer both sides at every feed. I rarely do simply because once he was on you couldn't prise him off0 -

Offer one boob, then the other. That's the standard advice anyway. Your milk won't be drying up. She's probably just having a growth spurt. How old is she?"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0
