Hi Sunshine! Good to see you, hope the move went well and that you're settling in OK :)
  • Evening ladies :)

Sunshine hope that the move went well, and fingers crossed you get an internet connection soon. It's quite incredible how much we rely on it

lazywife tomatoes also make A's face blotchy as do strawberries. And she loves both of them! Fingers crossed LO grows out of it.
On the nappies, at night LO's nappy leaks at the top at the front (so across her tummy). I'm sure it is because she sleeps on her tummy, and sometimes sticks her bottom in the air - kinda kneeling with her chest down against the mattress. Last night she was dry again.

Oscar fingers crossed for the weigh in tomorrow. Glad that you're feeling more confident about LO's feeding too

tiny glad that you enjoyed the lights and seeing your friends. Glad that you had your first proud mummy moment and here's to many more!

Baba good luck with your dress hunt x

AFM, I realised that my LO is MUCH better at unwrapping than wrapping presents! I got all our Christmas presents wrapped today and she "helped". I've made her a basket of "toys" for occasions like this: wooden spoon, whisk thingy, some plastic cookie cutters, a plastic tub, a funnel, a metal bowl - these are super exciting and more fun to play with than her actual toys so helped a lot whilst I wrapped!

Night all, hope it is a good one xx
  • Ok, moving on from the tie dyed pants, I really want a pom-pom maker. Just looked on ebay for a sneaky pre-christmas purchase and 400 have been sold in the last hour on just one posting. Kirsty's homemade Christmas I'm sure is soley responsible!
I like the fab new toys for distraction Saf, a good idea. One of T's favourites is an empty pepsi bottle (although I'm a bit of a paranoid mum, so have glued the top on!)

One of my LO's all time favourite toys is a rattle made from a small plastic milk bottle and a handful of dried chick peas. It's got a ready made handle for easy grip and it's *loud* :D

(See, I do have it in me to be at least a little bit MSE, I'm not all about shopping! :rotfl:)
  • Haha Nutella one of G's favourites is still an old bottle with beads in. I had no idea it would make such a racket when I made it! We need to have a major clear out of toys soon, he's got so many baby toys still in his box there'll be no room for his Xmas haul. But as soon as I get them out to take to the charity shop he picks them up and plays with them, so I don't have the heart to get rid!

Glad you've got moved now sunshine!

We're off swimming today, hope it'll tire him out a bit.

    Have good days all :)

I cleared out our toy box recently, and prior to doing so hid all the baby toys at the bottom of the box for a few days to see if she'd try to look for them. She didn't. I then did the clear out after she'd gone to bed and we've had no complaints :)
  • Morning all.
I'm feeling refreshed after a good nights sleep. LO went right through til seven this morning. I'm going to finish off my Christmas shopping later today as the weather here is lovely, then hopefully get it all wrapped up this evening. Lo is having her nap now so that will probably be it until bedtime about seven.
Saffagal, you got five weeks grace on me. LO starting crawling the very day she turned six months old! She is exhausting. I am constantly following her around. She pulls herself up to standing on anything she can find - especially the dog, as she is old and can't move out of her way very fast. Luckily she hasn't pulled on the Christmas tree.
I hope you enjoy the swimming katiechoc.
Congratulations on the new home sunshine.
    Take care. X

  • I don't know what happened to my post, but I am pleased to say thatLO has gained a whopping 20oz in the past week and isn't going to need admitting to hospital! So relieved and thanks to everyone for the good wishes. We might even put the Christmas tree up now!
