. Men are just a different species sometimes
. I decided hints wouldn't do it and pretty much specified that I'd like flowers and chocolates so atleast then I wouldn't be disappointed!
Cake looks fab sunshine! Have a lovely day, is it party day? ( can't remember what you said)
G has been asleep on my tummy for 1.5 hours now, think it must be teeth that's upsetting him. Atleast I'm getting mums day cuddles though:)

What have you got Noah for his bday? Im a bit emotional about him being 1?
X
We ordered Noah a trike yesterday, it was on offer online at ELC for £103.00, we found a voucher online for 20% off and we qualified for free delivery so paid just over £80 in the end. Really pleased.I feel the same about Noah turning 1, it's gone so quick. I might start putting him under my clothes so I can pretend he is in my belly again!

I expect I will. He's just done the washing up, sorted the laundry and fed Freddie (admittedly I'd have gone for porridge not Organix Tomato Stars but hey, food's food) all while I've been sat at the laptop, posting on here and sulking.
I'm not really the passive-aggressive type. I shalln't sulk all day - that would just ruin everyone's day. But I do want him to realise that it's not my being 'funny', he really should have made an effort. Id agree with you. But my OH can sometimes completely miss the point here too, even if I am in major sulk. Sounds like he is realising though? And he may do some morr laundry which is always a bonus.

Any advice on next stage carseats? Freddie's still in the infant carrier and I'll keep him in it as long as possible but it's time to think ahead. Do I go for a Group 1 one, or a Group 1, 2, 3?
I might buy a maxi-cosi Pearl for the OH's car because it will go on the familyfix base that we currently use for the infant carrier (the cabriofix). My car doesn't have isofix points so I'll need one that uses the seatbelt. Some reviews I've read suggested that the seats wobbled a bit and didn't feel that securely attached.
It's a bit of a pain to buy two carseats but if you've got two cars, it's a lot easier than moving it all the time. And knowing us, we'd forget and the OH would go to work with the carseat. We do that with the pram base all the time"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
Fluff, we have the Britax first class plus (as do Gilly and Turtle and someone else on here, sorry can't remember who) - it's rear facing up to 13kg, then forward facing until 18kg. It's sometimes on offer at Boots (we paid £99), but when I looked last week the cheapest I could find was £110 at Halfords. Do have a look at the Kiddicare website though as they have quite a few offers on car seats at the moment - I bought this one for my parents' car earlier this week.0

Big ((hugs)) to Fluff and Servalan - I don't think you're overreacting. My OH doesn't 'do' any occasion - we've been together for 14 years, and he's still not bought me a single Christmas present! He forgot my birthday last year despite me mentioning it a few times - I burst into tears in the evening and he subsequently bought me flowers and perfume the following day, which was nice but I didn't feel that he'd done it for the 'right' reason if you see what I mean (hope that doesn't come across as being ungrateful
).
LO was one month old on father's day last year - OH was at work in the morning, so I arranged for his teenage son to come over without OH knowing, we made his favourite muffins and I'd ordered a personalised card and personalised bottle of champagne from Moonpig. Will I get anything today? Very unlikely. He did ask yesterday what I wanted (he couldn't possibly miss that it's mother's day given the amount of TV he watches!), but if I have to tell him what to buy then what's the point?... I've learnt to live with it though, but every now and then it still gets to me, especially since my family is the extreme opposite - every occasion and anniversary is remembered, marked and/or celebrated, however minor it might be0
