IHateDida, we didn't have a problem with LO being scared of the dark, but I wonder if a toy with lights might help? We used this for bedtime when LO was younger - so either something nice and comforting like that or something that's interesting to look at (lights and buttons to press) that will distract her?
My LO is also being brought up Vegetarian*Oh, and baby porridge is much better than rice!
*Although she also eats fish at the nursery to get the nutritional benefits without me having to cook it0 -

Thank you Nutella and lazywife - I might get her a light up portable toy and see if she is better! We have a light show toy in the bedroom but I can't put that on the pram - the seahorse looks cute! Worth trying! Goodness knows what people are thinking when they pass by my screaming banshee in her pram! I have currently got toys in her pram at the moment but no lights on them - I moved the toys today as I realised they too were causing scary shadows! LOL!
Me and other half eat fish - but most of my diet is Quorn or other veggie stuff. I guess Quorn will be ok from 12 months......
Edit: Just ordered a seahorse from Amazon Nutella - thank you for your suggestion - will let you know how I get on!
Edit: Just changed my seahorse for a glo-worm as I ready a couple of bad reviews about a possible fire hazard...so hoping the glo-worm will work equally as well!0 -
Boo - noisy weather! LO is sleeping like a, uhm, baby, but I'm struggling! We also have a wet bedroom carpet thanks to me underestimating the power of the rain & wind. Oh well.
IHateDida, hope the gloworm does the job - let us know how you get on! My LO ate Quorn from around 7 months, and regularly at the nursery from when she started there at 8 and a half months, although I tend to cook with beans and lentils instead for her after realising that they score much higher on protein content and general nutritional value.
Hope everyone else is sleeping right now! x0 -
Well Nutella, LO asleep. I'm awake, thinking about if I sneak out for a toilet stop will T wake up!?!?0

Go for it, nothing worse than needing the loo if you're trying to sleep. My LO is asleep sideways on my bed, hogging the duvet, but I dare not try to move her!...0

So, the clocks went back but my child didn't. She's running around singing 'The wheels on the bus' and switching on lights. Yawn!0

Nutella I'm with you, George is awake too, although I've not given in and got him out of the cot yet.
The wind is pretty bad here too but not too noisy around G's window which is good. Don't know what's keeping him up, not like him to be up yelling in the night really. More of a tantrum than anything else. Ooh oho he's gone quiet! ....oh no, typed too soonNewborn thread member

Morning ladies,
How was the storm for those it hit last night? Hope your all safe and wellNewly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0 -
No damage here, just a blown away recycling box and a few trees down, nothing major. Oh and a leaky ceiling that always leaks when we have prolonged heavy rain.
Quite a disappointment really.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Don't know what happened last night but baby slept from 11pm till 4.00am so I had a good sleep. He's usually awake at 1am but he skipped that. He's fed alot this morning though and he's always groaning and straining lately, as well as spitting up. Bit concerned really. So far he's only cried for food and when his nappy is being changed .. now he's doing a very intermittent whiny kind of cry which stops if I move his position but then he'll start up again after a while. Oh says babies cry. ..I know but it's the groaning noises that are bothering me! !!!
Freddie went through a phase of grunting after feeds. Pretty common I think."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0
