Katie I can eat gluten but have been following a food plan for the last 4 weeks which omits certain food groups for the first 9 days and then you introduce them back to see the effect on you. One of them was gluten and tbh I'm not in a hurry to keep any of them in my diet regularly. I've lost nearly a stone in 4 weeks doing this and I've never eaten so well!! And I've learnt lots of inventive ways to make lovely food. Including almond pancakes:D great news on house - were just about to put ours on the market, have seen a lovely house that's just come up for sale on Internet, drove past it today. Fingers crossed for us both x

Good luck with the house selling, hope you get the one you want.

Whats the food plan? It sounds interesting, and effective. xxx

Thanks Katie. It's from a personal trainer. He has a website called fatburnerbootcamp. He runs boot camps too but I can't go as I don't live near a friend does though which is how I heard of it. It's been the easiest 'diet' ever to follow. Hubby loves it too and he's lost over a stone too. It does challenge your thinking as you eat lots of things high in fat but it works :D

Shall wait to hear your news on the house x

    Wow quiet around here :o

Just checking in, I got back yesterday but there appears to be a backlog of washing and housework here, funny how men have no initiative when it comes to those things, even when A wasn't here. V annoying.

    Hope everyone is ok x

    Hallo ladies :)

It is quiet in here! Glad that you didn't jinx it sunshine :)

I'm hoping A sleeps through now... she went down at 8, woke at 9 sort of; she cried, I picked her up to soothe her, she nuzzled then fed for 10min without opening her eyes at all and has been back down since. I'm off for a few days in Devon tomorrow so not sure if I'll be able to post. I feel bad for OH as he's staying home as cannot get the time off work.

Hope that you have a good week all

Hi all, hope everyone has had nice weekends. I met up with my friends from uni (from when we were young and in uni) and a baby of of one of theirs. He is just 6 weeks older than H so it's kinda fun to see what the next stage is, like he was loads more alert and free with his smiles and little giggles. I try not to compare though, specially with my LO being 5 wks prem it's hard to judge when he should be doing stuff but I am jealous that hers sleeps through and has done for a few weeks now!
H slept through most of the day so thought i was in for it lastnight but he slept in a chunk of 4 then 3 hours so that was good. And tonight he has been asleep since after his bath about half 9 so should really wake up soon for a feed, then we shall see what the night holds. Oh devon, lovely, to visit family saffa?Nice one sunshine :) And Gilly you should just wash your own studff, he'd do it eventually when he ran out of clothes! ;)

We have had poorly babies, poorly big kids, luckily not poorly grownups (not yet anyway!) and we are off to the doctors for yet another crazy rash but on little miss this time. I think it'll be one of three things: a) viral b) her eczema has got infected c) a really weird case of chickenpox!

Squeak has some spots too so they've put her in at the same time *sigh* its never ending :(

  • Hope everyones ok, tried to post a really long post the other night but it said I was blocked?! No idea why, hope this one works

Amelia's been really off it last night and today. When she was crying earlier I saw the back of her throat was red and a few spots on the back. Would the doc be able to do anything about that?

Delain hope your LO's get better soon x

cake that sounds like oral thrush, the gp can give LO a prescription to get rid of that.

she is a tired little miss now and needs to go to bed i think :(

    hope everyone is well x x x x

  • For the older lo's - did you find that at 5 months they went off their milk, he was eating 210 5 times a day now it's anywhere between 150-210 each bottle! It's worrying me, even though he's still his smiley self, sleeping through and not crying for food? Gr!
