mrsa were you up for a meet in Manchester? I tend not to come on here too much as it's a bit of effort compared to keeping up on FB
I know marta and I were supposed to meet up in, er, May.
If you're around we could try again? I work mornings but free other times.
That would be great, unfortunately I don't have FacebookNewly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0 -

Happy Birthday Sunshine! Wow, feelin old now!! I am 32 and in North Wales.
Would people recommend a jumperoo?Or a walker? they are both about the same size aren't they, I imagine the house would feel very full with both! We have a terraced house with biggish downstairs but still! What age would you suggest for both? We have a fisher price space saver swing chair which I'd really recommend for anyone wanting something like that.
Nights have been slightly better, a couple of chunks of nearly 3 hrs sleep! woo hooHe is also feeding more often during the daytime, every 2 hours, he is getting quite chunky! from being a teeny tiny 4lb 14 then down to 4lb 4 he is now 11 wks and 9lb 12! finally got some rolls on his legs

sunshine glad that you had a lovely birthday yesterday.
Gilly sorry to hear about your grandfather. Hope that your tooth is feeling better now and that A is behaving better
sunshine Yay for the house news!
Nutella Yay for tooth 4!
Cake Yay for A's crawling and M's teeth!
I feel old - I'm 32 and live in the South East. I don't want to jinx it but A has been sleeping from 9:30/10pm through to 6/7/8 the past couple weeks. In fact since she's started having a morning nap she's been sleeping really well. My mom arrived last week for her visit and is enjoying playing granny to A. And we have finally finished redecorating the hall and landing yay!!!
A quiet week for us this week - the highlight due to be going to meet my new niece who's a week old now.
Have a lovely day ladies0 -
Morning
Hope everyone had a good night - ours was pretty terrible and I'm feeling knackered. It's on days like these that I miss being on maternity leave - no chance of a nap in the office!
Saf and Dippy - I'll be 35 in a couple of months
Dippy - I'd definitely recommend a jumperoo and you'll get plenty of other people on here saying the same thing; this board is like an unofficial jumperoo fan club! The jumperoo saved my sanity at a time when I couldn't put LO down anywhere without her screaming and it enabled me to have lunch againWe bought ours when LO was 5 and a half months, but I know others on here got theirs at around 4 months. More important than age is being able to hold their head up properly. I'd get it sooner rather than later though as they have a limited life span- once the little darlings start crawling they don't want to be stuck in one place. Walkers - the ones they sit in are no longer recommended, but the V Tech walkers are fab. Take up much less space too! We used ours from around 4 months - at first she was lying on her tummy, then she started sitting up with cushions behind her (and I think it did help her sitting), then gradually she started pulling herself up to standing and walking. Now at almost 15 months she still loves it - I'd say it's the best £15 we've spent on baby-related stuff!
Hope everyone has a good day x0 -
Hey Dippy glad the sleep is getting better, slow and steady & sounds like he's chunking up nicely!
T is sleeping through, but I'm afraid we're spoiling him a little. He does 7hrs, so if he's bed at 9.30-10pm he's waking at 5am and up for the day, that's just too early for me! (But if he's had an evening where he won't settle til 11ish he'll go through til 6.30-7). So on the earlier(?) bed times when he stirs a little at 2-3am I'm feeding him and he'll go quickly back to sleep and through til 7. May be getting him into bad habits, but it's seeming easier at the moment.
Gilly, sorry to hear about your Grandad, even if it's expected it's still a sad time.
Not really thought about bumbo, baby snug etc. T's only just holding his head with any consistency now (it was a big head, on the top centile line.... 99.6%..... resisting the jolly urge to call him big head Ted in case it sticks!) and I feel bad just having him laid on his back all day as he's not as involved, sometimes will go in bouncer, but I might have a look for 2nd hand seat. Something different for him.
Hope you had a nice birthday Sunshine. I'm 31, so well and truly in the 30+ club.
MrsH we're East coast here (not far from Skegness) so fairly remote for get togethers etc. But enough local groups to be getting on with. Got asked to the breastfeeding group yesterday, may pop along and see how they are.
Saf glad your Mum's enjoying herself.
Nut hope your day goes quickly and you get a less tiring night.
T just stirring, speak later.

We have got another appointment with the paediatrician on Wednesday so not sure what's going to happen there. Still waiting on the referral for the speech and language therapist too. It seems a bit strange as he's still only a baby!:)DS1 10yrsDS2 7yrs :)DS3 born March 2012

I'm 25 and about as far South West as you can get.
I've only been to one baby group so far as LO is only 5 weeks plus loads seem to have stopped over the summer which is annoying. It seemed really cliquey, I'm going to give it one more go but wasn't impressed0
