Hope everyones had a lovely day. Mollies temp is so much better. But she came out in a rash through the night. Figured it was heat rash but kept an eye on it..... lots worse this morn. Took her docs and as soon as we walked in he said it looked like she has measles
He said he needs to get in touch with Public Health for them to confirm it is, apparently they will send a pack out to me and I need to do whatever it is it asks and see if it is measles.
He said she is over the worst of it now and the spots are the last of it. I don't actually think it is measles but he's the doc
But if it is, poor Amelia's got that to look forward to
Cant wait for rubbish weather :rotfl:The girls didn't get to bed til 10pm tonight. They were absolutely exhausted but just couldn't settle. They've got a massive fan on in their room but its so so hot:j:T Gorgeous twin girls born 1st Nov 2012 :T:j0 -

Flipping heck, it never rains it pours! Pool mollie!
Working ladies can you make me feel better, I'm going back to work in November (I know a bit off yet) but I already have anxiety about leaving my lo. I will only be going back part time but the thought of leaving him for 16hrs is absolutely breaking my heart. To the point I am looking for stay at home jobs, with less pay.
My oh thinks ill want to go back come November and that ill miss my job and will be giving up on a career but seriously I can't bear to think about leaving him. It's really bothering me!Newly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0 -
Mrsh - try not to worry, its ages off yet so just enjoy your ML. Everyone is different, some people do miss jobs and some do not. I felt the same as you in that I was petrified to leave him but to be honest I did miss my job and earning my own cash. I can honestly say I am glad I went back, I do 33hrs over 4days with LO in nursery 3 and split between my mum and MIL one day, Aiden loves nursery now and I look so forward to our days together.
If you dont have to return to work financially, perhaps discuss with your OH this option. For us, I had to return as it wasnt possible for me not to. As I say, we are all different in what we choose/want to do.
Ps - sure I mentioned this before, but its nice going to work and not getting snotted on, drinking a cuppa without it going cold and eating a sandwich without having to share it!
Oh no cakebig hugs Mollie. Hope she is ok xxxx

I'm also around! with the heat we are out most of the day and I haven't had much time to read or post. Plus I'm having to have eyes on her all the time! Her crawling is quite fast now and she has learnt to stand up whilst holding furniture! She's very clingy though, I cannot be a foot away or she moans, and if I move two feet away she cries with such intensity you'd think she's in pain!!!
How are you doing with naps moneypenny? I'm guilty of feeding to sleep, or rocking around. She fights naps and has anything from 10min to 80min, usually 40min. She used to nap every two to three hours, but now she might stay up four hours plus before she goes down. I keep reading about putting baby awake in cot, but how do you do that? As soon as she touches the mattress awake, she rolls and plays around, crawls to the end, touches the wood, plays with the dummy, stands up by pulling herself up whilst grabbing the rails... Anything but laying there.
Oh, cake, I hope M gets better, if you are not happy with the diagnosis, maybe go to a walking in centre?Quit smoking *1st January 2010*

Today's discovery: Freddie can climb the stairs now. Just not very successfully."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

Yesterday's discovery: My 10month old has realised he can get out of his baby walker by climbing over the side head first...successfully. -.-
Just wanted to share lolPeople don't know what they want until you show them.0 -
Morning all
Gilly, welcome back!
Cake, poor Mollie, potentially poor Amelia, and poor mummy!
Fluff, hope Freddie is OK after his stair climbing adventure.
Kayalana, ditto for your little man - hope there were no injuries.
Marta, yay for standing up!
We had another really good night - 7.30pm to 4.30am :T She needed a nap by 7am, but I'm working from home today, so I got to have one tooIt's another hot day here, but I don't mind as I don't have to deal with a stuffy office and oven-like trains! Not sure how much work I'm going to get done though - LO is having an attention-seeking day. She's her usual cheerful self as long as I play with her, but the moment I try to do some work (or indeed post on here!), she starts screaming. Conference call at 12.30 is going to be fun...
MrsH, will reply to your post about work in a bit.
Have a good day all x0 -
Hello all, sounds like there are some adventurous babies this week! Hope there are no injuries!
Hope it's not measles Cake
Hope you get some work done Nutella! I've all but given up trying to work when G is awake, just do it while he naps and in the evenings. I can sit on the sofa and he'll play by himself quite happily but try and do something useful? No chance.
Marta - when G started moving around in his cot we had a bad few weeks of him not settling as he was too interested in pulling himself up and running laps of the mattress. Eventually she'll come through it though, we ended up putting him in there and if he was dancing about would leave him a few minutes, then lie him down, leave him etc etc eventually she'll be tired enough to lie still.
I've just put G down for his nap so going to dash down and refill the paddling pool ready for later, then got super exciting (not) accounts to get up to date to send off to the accountant. Yawn.Newborn thread member

Public health just rang. Asked me all the questions and said doesn't sound like Measles to her
Said the gp could test Mollie to see if it is Measles so we would know if Amelia will get it. So why on earth didn't he say that yesterday?!
She also said Amelia could have the MMR jab but she's probably got it already so up to me if I want her to have it. She said if she's ill they wont give her the jab anyway
So now I don't know what to do:j:T Gorgeous twin girls born 1st Nov 2012 :T:j0
