    Hallo ladies :)

It has been warm, I'm loving it, LO less so but I'm planning to take her swimming for the first time tomorrow and though we'll be in a heated indoor pool, this weather makes me look forward to swimming that much more :)

I don't believe in letting her cry it out. Before 6 months they're still learning that they're their own person and adapting to that as well as too young to understand why you're leaving them to cry sometimes but not at other times (ie when you're sticking with a routine). Of course, a few minutes crying whilst you go to the loo is sometimes necessary and if driving, but otherwise no. This has been a cause of much "discussion" with OH as if she's crying whilst he's holding her he doesn't see the issue with just putting her down as she's crying anyway! I have explained repeatedly and he is getting better at not doing this.

A is 10 weeks now and she's sort of got a pattern of daytime feeds that has developed since about week 7: in the morning, then around 10, around 12:30, around 2 or 3 (depending on what we're doing), around 5, around half 7 and then half 9 before she falls asleep at 10. Her feeds are also getting quicker. After having really rubbish nights after her first jabs, on Saturday she slept 10-3, then 3:30 to 7:30. Last night she did 10-1, then 1:30 to 5:30, then 6-9 this morning! Wow :T:T She's got her BCG booked for Wednesday so am sure her sleep will all go to pot again after that :( so I've thoroughly enjoyed the past two nights :)

Now, she has fallen asleep on me and I am going to try and slide her off of me so I can go and hang the washing up... this will be attempt two this afternoon so fingers crossed

    Enjoy the sunshine ladies

Well, I got the washing out the machine and she woke up crying. Luckily OH got in just then so cuddled her whilst I hung the washing out and she's now having cuddles with me again. I wish she'd sleep in the car - went to my sil for lunch today. It's a 40min drive each way. LO slept for the first 20min of each journey.

Im going through the exact thing with Andr!. I used to get annoyed that I cant do stuff and people like my mum telling me off. Now I just sit with him. Right now he's on me. Silly munchkin. So many people give their two pence worth and ive felt like a bad mum. Xx

Thanks for the tips on BLW! For lunch, little one had a soldier of toast with philly cheese (thanks Bamama for the inspiration!) she sucked at it some bits went down (definitely the cheese) and then we ended with a soggy mess that she wasn't interested in. I think I was expecting her to chew it all and swallow it nicely but does that sound about right for BLW what she did?

Never mind choking on food, just gave her some Calpol for her teeth, it went down the wrong way and she inhaled it. She couldn't breathe, started going a funny colour and gasped silently and went all floppy, back slaps didn't help as nothing was actually lodged but I definitely panicked (asking her repeatedly if she was OK (and waiting for an answer as I'm back slapping) and both of us ended up in tears after the horrific event. Still feel like crying when I think of it!

Baby here has no routine to speak of except one she developed on her own and keeps changing. We just go with the flow!

Hope everyone has a good sleep tonight. It is painfully hot!

Edit: So many people gave me advice too Rups and made me feel awful but just got to try and ignore it. I also had a C-section as bubs didn't want to move after a full labour so snap :)

Oh moneypenny, glad that you're both ok x

I think with most advice that you're offered, listen intently, smile sweetly and then carry on regardless. Try things out if you would like to and think it is good advice. Don't if you disagree with it. Ultimately, trust your instincts as no one else knows your baby like you do and just as every adult is different, so too is every baby.

Thanks *sob* My OH is away too so it felt even worse! I'm certain I'm more traumatised than she was though she looked pretty awful the poor little mite. Hope you get a better sleep tonight Nutella x

As for babies sleeping on you, that lasted about 2 weeks with us and now we are lucky to even get a cuddle because she is more interested in looking for the next thing to put in her mouth!! She never sits still long enough to cuddle either so I have to pinch a cuddle before she is put down for the night when she is awake but sleepy. You definitely can't spoil them with cuddles!
