Lovely pics mrsb
I love your hair colour. I am not confident enough to have pics of me just on my own, wish I was though!

You know you've got an early riser of a child when she wakes up at 4.45 and you think '4.45! That's not too bad - that's almost 5!'
Hope everyone is well and had a good night x0 -
Great pics!!!!
Tmi ahead: instead of having a normal period, it came early with only spotting, one day red, four days dark brown. My normal ones are 5 days of heavy red flow, two days low flow. I've had migraines and headaches every day too. Now it's gone. I've taken like 5 pregnancy test because it's so unusual for me, all negative, I'm 16dpo today. Has anyone had a similar experience? Should I worry? Should I buy better tests? My expected period day was two days ago, yet whatever it was came 5 days ago and has stopped now.Quit smoking *1st January 2010*

Marta I've just had my second period since giving birth - was 10 days late and was one day red and 5 days really dark but just spotting. I've also woke up full of a head ache every day and I don't suffer with headaches very often!
You had tests done recently didn't you? (If I remember right) I'm guessing its your body getting back to normal. I came off the pill and it took me 18 months to get pregnant, my periods were so messed up. So I think this is prob the same, your body has to get back to normal after having a baby.

Good to see you cake4brains
I hope you work out what ever you need to, to make the relationship work for you.
I'm led in bed having a brew, on my own, oh has taken lo downstairs for me to have a little time alone. Feels abit weird! Not sure if I like it lo
Chilling out today then I'm off to where we are having the christening "do" with my sister so she can see what she's working with ( I leave all decs to her ) means oh will prob have to do bedtime routine alone with lo. Lets see how he gets on, I need to let go a little anyway! Too much of a control freak!Newly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0 -
Cake, good to hear from you - been thinking of you and wondering how you were getting on. I can't even begin to imagine how you must feel...
Re. breakfast - I make porridge with all sorts of different fruits and berries (LO's favourite is oats, apple, pear and apricot - I initially used Annabel Karmel's recipe, but now just make it up as I go along), banana bread/muffins (obviously baby-friendly recipe with apple juice instead of sugar), Cow & Gate's 'my first cereal', crumpets, French toast, and her favourite: pancakes. I make mini ones for her, and sometimes mix some mashed banana or blueberries into the batter too
Thanks ladies for the breakfast suggestions. We have porridge, ready brek and Weetabix almost every day with a fruit mixed in each time. Either apple, pear, mango, blueberries or peach. I should start slicing some fruit for them to eat but I tried before and they just slid all over the highchair tray!
I did make some banana loaf for them but it kept crumbling and Amelia chokes on food a lot. She's eating porridge fingers and toast soldiers at the mo and stuffing more in while choking at the same time. I know its just gagging and not real choking but its v scary . She simply doesn't learn and gags her way through every meal
Nutella, do you make the crumpets or are they just everyday ones from the supermarket? I'm wary of buying them normal adult foods in case of salt and sugar etc. I can never remember the amounts they are supposed to have, I should really write it in my phone
Re French toast. Amelia would love it but I daren't try Mollie on egg again yet. She has food with egg in it and doesn't come out in the rash but Im wondering if that's why her nappies are always so 'interesting' haha
Pancakes.... is there a baby recipe you use? Tia
Gilly, the flapjacks sound good. Will see if I can find a recipe for them. And will try the shredded wheats too.
Thank you so much :T:j:T Gorgeous twin girls born 1st Nov 2012 :T:j0 -
I use the nigella recipe for pancakes, they're American style so thicker and easier to pick up
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 pinch of salt
1 teaspoon white sugar
2 large eggs (beaten)
30 grams butter (melted and cooled)
300 ml milk
225 grams plain flour
butter for frying
Bung it all in a blender and then fry, when bubbles appear its time to flip, they're about the size of a drop scone pancake. If no blender mix the dry ingredients, make a well in the middle and drop in wet ingredients and mix. Put mixture into a jug and pour into the pan.
Best recipe ever. Blueberries are good in that batter. Infact I may make some now
Also don't worry too much about adult food, stuff that isn't processed (ready meals and the like) is generally ok, a balanced diet is what you're looking for, I tended to do the if he had more salt one day, cut back the nexthth x

Yes, I had scans and swabs about two months ago, so I'm physically fine, I was just worried that maybe my hormones were not working properly :-/ I guess I'm a worrier sometimes!!!
DH does not want V to go to her room either lol, our new furniture arrives next week, we are getting an overbed unit and wardrobes so we can move out from the nursery all our clothes and stuff, and put the cot there... I think that's not going to happen, we might assemble everything buy the wardrobes, so the cotbed can stay with us for longer.
My lo sleeps 6h-7h in one stretch (8pm - 2am/3am), but after that she has about two hours + (until 4:30am - 5 am), wakes up, eats and sleeps for another hour and a half or so (until 6:30-7am), eats and might go down again for an hour. It's obvious to me that she doesn't need those feeds and just use them as sedative to go back to sleep. She wakes up out of habit, not hunger. She's 6 and a half months. Is there anything I can do to change that pattern? It's almost clockwork, and at least I have a lay in some days, but if I don't give her a feed, she wakes up and cannot go back to sleep. I tried to increase the day feeds, yet she still wakes up like a clock, only she has less milk.Quit smoking *1st January 2010*

What Marta said is correct but any BLW-ers will tell you that it's the intake over the whole week you want to keep an eye on. Same with content, I have days where A eats carbs constantly and then days where it's more protein so I just try to look at the week as a whole
I'm a stress head with food though so it helps me
