Hello Ladies
Turtle, helloyou are right, its tiring working and being a mummy. But yey for Reuben loving nursery :T makes it so much easier doesn't it?!
Well done for your LO's rolling over Bamama and Mrsh2b :j
Speaking of work, I am in desperate need of some work clothes, so have just ordered some bits off asos.com, its free returns so that way at least if I don'tlike them I can return. Girl in my office got a promotion today, which means her job is up for grabs...its 3 grades higher than my post and is the next spring board from my post really so I am hoping our manager ring fences it...fingers crossed
Hows your slimming world going turtle?
Just having a cup of tea then off to bed for me I think xxxLittle Man born 11 March 2012 :smileyhea

Hi ladies, sorry for being awol so long. I've just caught up on 25 pages so cant remember anything!
All is as good as it can be here. Its been almost 6 weeks since I found out my husband was texting another woman and its been a hard 6 weeks I can tell you. We're still not on track but I haven't left him so suppose that means we're trying. He keeps acting as if everything is normal but I find it very hard to do that. I still cant look at him in the same way and struggle not to cringe if he brushes by me etc. He tells me he loves me and tbh I find it difficult not to give him grief each time.
Anyway, the fact of the matter is we're still together. Kind of
It was our 1st wedding anniversary on Friday. Oh the irony. I told him if he bought me a card or present to 'celebrate' our marriage I would make sure he couldn't walk for a week
My brother bought us a photoshoot as a prezzie (I haven't told him about our problems), and it was AMAZING! The girls did so well, they were sat for 1hr 45mins and Mollie did start to get fed up for the last 20 mins but that's good going I thought! I really cant wait to get the photos. She said it would be about 3 weeks and I am so impatient. I was watching some of the pics she was taking and kept thinking, oh that will be a good one!
The girls are coming on marvellously. They sit on their own for ages now, and keep trying to crawl :T. Amelia has been trying to pull herself forward when sat, if there is anything near. I'm looking forward to having to chase them everywhere.... I might lose some weight then :rotfl:
They've been trying to talk too. Amelia says Mama, Dada, Papa and Bye while waving. Mollie has said Mama, Papa and Bang Bang, but will not repeat on demand!
The only thing I can grumble about is the lack of sleep! They are so bad at sleeping lately I just don't understand it. Monday night I got 3.5 hours. OH had 3 week off but was back at work Sunday night so finding it extra hard the last few days
Also, can I please ask for some breakfast ideas for 7 month olds? I'm stuck in a rut when it comes to feeding, they have the same things all the time. Either Weetabix, porridge, ready brek or natural yoghurt with fruit. We did try eggs but Mollie came out in welts and then a rash, it was awful
They are so good at eating new things. The only thing I have to be careful of is Amelia swallows anything she puts in her mouth. Or tries. I gave her a toasted soldier, it was about 2 inches long, and after sucking it for a few seconds she tried to swallow it whole. And gagged. And swallowed. And gagged. And didn't stop trying

Girls, he really doesn't believe me that less sleep nap wise won't mean more nighttime sleep >< Dewi is just wide awake now.
For a while, my OH didn't either, but then LO proved it all by herself by sleeping terribly when she hadn't had enough naps, and he realised that I was rightThe fact that Dewi is wide awake now should help prove your point. But if it doesn't, there's plenty of research available, so get googling...

Cake, good to hear from you - been thinking of you and wondering how you were getting on. I can't even begin to imagine how you must feel...
Re. breakfast - I make porridge with all sorts of different fruits and berries (LO's favourite is oats, apple, pear and apricot - I initially used Annabel Karmel's recipe, but now just make it up as I go along), banana bread/muffins (obviously baby-friendly recipe with apple juice instead of sugar), Cow & Gate's 'my first cereal', crumpets, French toast, and her favourite: pancakes. I make mini ones for her, and sometimes mix some mashed banana or blueberries into the batter too

Glad to hear from you cake *hugs*. Gilly always has loads of different food ideas. She's like a walking cook book.
Nutella. OH has nothing to do with bed time. Never has. Dewi always went to sleep on the boob but I've been trying to stop that and the last 3 nights he hasn't had boob. He's in his own room so thought I better break the habit while I was gonna be getting less sleep anyway. I've been using a white noise recording and rocking Dewi to sleep. Not ideal but he just won't self settle so ATM I'm just trying to get him used to the idea that he doesn't need boob. First two nights it took 2 hours of rocking. Only 1hr tonight. He did 12am-4am in his own bed the first night, 10-2 feed then straight back down and slept til 6.45 last nightbut of luck and he'll start associating that noise with sleep and then I might be able to put him down awake ^^

*waves* Good to 'see' you Cake.
What about cereal? (we do bitesize shredded wheat, Ellas Round Ones, and the supermarkets own branded 'filled' shredded wheat minis, tescos blueberry are gorgeous) He just picks them up, and I soften them ever so slightly with milk, been doing this since around 6 months old.
French Toast, Pancakes, Toasted Muffins, Toast (with fruit puree, butter, cream cheese, peanut butter)
Tbh we usually do a rotation of porridge, cereal, weetabix (every 3 days not all 3 on the one day!) and repeat and once he's done with that he usually has a piece of fruit or a slice of toast.
What about making some flapjacks, obviously without the sugar, maybe try agave syrup. They keep really well tooThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Evening everyone, I'm sat on the sofa with a snoozy boy next to me so have decided to make the most of it & pop a post on here
Yesterday was our 2nd wedding anniversary (12yrs together though) & we decided to have a trip to the seaside. We had a really lovely day & the sea air definitely tired George out! After all the sleep problems we've been having, he managed a few hours in his cot instead of sleeping next to me in our bed :T As much as I love the snuggles, I definitely find it easier to sleep when I've not got my little wrigglebum in bed with me!
All of this talk about babies eating is making me excited about starting the weaning process! George is 19wks so not long now. He grabbed my hand whilst I was eating an apple the other day & had a good couple of sucks on it before I'd cottoned on to what he was doingOh well, I figured it surely won't do him any harm! We're hoping to do mainly baby-led weaning so I think we're in for some fun times & I'll be searching back through this thread for some of the recipes people have been talking about
Yay for the bubbas who have learned to roll! It sticks in my mind because George has learnt to go front to back in the last couple of weeks. He's still quite lazy with it & would rather winge a bit until you roll him over but he can do it so it's still an achievement in my eyes :T He seems to be coming on leaps & bounds. He can now roll both ways, his sitting up is definitely improving too! So scary how fast they change
I can't remember who it was who asked if they could see any of my pics from the photoshoot the other day, baby brain has got the better of me yet again! I've had them through tonight & I'm really pleased with them. Here's a few that I'm hoping won't upset anyone & aren't too big...
Right. Now I've spammed the thread with pictures of me in my pants I shall try & get myself off to bed :rotfl: Here's hoping for good nights sleep for everyone & a lovely day tomorrow!0
