Wouldn't worry Fluff, we have days where he barely eats anything and everything just gets picked up, sniffed and examined and either shoved down the side of the highchair or launched onto the floor.
We have had a day and a half of decent-ish eating so I fully expect tomorrrow to be back to no thanks Mummy. *sigh*The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -

cakes, yes we but the tea bags , read online about them, leave in hot water for 15 minute, let it cool and offer it to the girls, no more than 4 spoons per day. it helps Jade.
Well i have discovered something today, Jade turned 5 weeks yesterday. Ive reported that the swing, probiotics, colief and dr brown bottles helped my baby to settle and helped with colic .WRONG.
crying all day, red face, kicking legs and arms, unhappy most of the time crying, even crying when feeding, feeding constantly ? well no reflux or colic, depite me feeding all day and night long what my baby had was hunger, i was starving my baby, since last night that i gave a bottle and bf, then did the same today all day long i had the most content, sleeping after interacting and feeding baby, no more rying, even took away the colief, it wasnt that, my baby was hungry for the last 5 weeks. When i reported everything working and Jade more settle it was because i started using the drops , yes, because i was giving her a bottle in the mornings too. Ca not believe it, feel awful.Mejor morir de pie que vivir toda una vida de rodillas.0 -
fluff I really don't know how you're still so positive, when George was going through a similar phase I was a wreck!
nutella glad you're getting a little bit more sleep now. Hope it continues and she catches onto not getting picked up quickly.
dizzi :eek::eek:
sammie what have you got Noah for his bday? I'm thinking of a vtech toot toot garage for G's. (watching one on eBay so wish me luck when its bidding time!)
morocha has Jade been putting on weight ok so far? If she has then I'd try not to worry about why she's perked up - surely if she was being starved the hvs would have picked up on it when they weighed her? Could just be coincidence so see how things pan out over the next few days. And make the most of her being happier, whatever the reason. Hugs.
Think that's about all I can remember from my read back - I don't seem to have been on as much recently, George is constantly on the move now so when he's awake it's generally damage limitation (he's a fiend for scuttling across the room behind his walker then smashing it into the wall/door/furniture when he can't go any further) then nap times are crammed full of housework or work.Newborn thread member

Morning all
Marginally better night here (again!) - awake between 10.30pm and midnight (she conveniently timed it to Match of the Day so I had to deal with it ) and then up at 5am to put the dummy back in. Up for the day at 5.45am. That's better than what we've had recently, and most importantly (for my sanity), we had less screaming. If she keeps improving like this by 15 minutes less awake-time per night she'll be sleeping through by approx. Friday :rotfl:As if!!
Hope everyone else had a good night.
Katie, I know what you mean re. being on the move, although thankfully no crashing into things here (maybe it's a boy thing?...), just lots of exploring and grabbing everything, emptying out kitchen cupboards, pulling apart anything made from paper, pulling the laundry off the drying rail and just generally leaving a trail of chaos everywhere she goes0 -
Hi all
I havent been on much either...preparing for the birthday and also Aidens had the squits (sorry) since wednesdaybeen to the docs who said it can last up to a week and as long as he is eating and drinking its nothing to worry about. So I am hoping it clears up! We are getting through tons of vests and they are currently on my line hoping the sun will bleach out some stains!! Yuk.
Nutella, our nights are getting better too. We usually have a dummy wake up about 12 and then up at 530-6, sometimes he has his bottle and goes back off though. Hope your estimation is right and you get sleeping through by Friday!
Katie, Aiden crashes into everything too!
Off to mils so back later xxxLittle Man born 11 March 2012 :smileyhea

Sunshine, we've had the same thing a couple of times (nursery - it's a germ fest!), and it did take up to a week to clear, but clearing up it did. Lots of water (obviously), I was told root vegetables are good, less of things like lentils, beans and chickpeas as they can, uhm, encourage it further.
That's great that your nights have improved!0 -
thanks nutella
i was just thinking about it too much, im really going to have to stop worrying what other people think all the time

I'm hoping some of you ladies can give me some advice, apologies in advance for tmi. I had George 3wks ago tomorrow & my bleeding had started to tail off over the past couple of days but this afternoon I've had some bright red bleeding, I felt it 'trickling' so to speak. I had a natural delivery with no intervention although I had a 2nd degree internal tear which I had stitched, I also apparently had ragged membranes but have had no problems since. Is this normal or should I be contacting someone?0
