Bleeding sounds normal to me
They won't mind if you phone and ask them at the midwife clinic.
If you're feeling run down or bleeding quite a bit is get some iron. You can get it on prescription, or you can buy spatone in boots. I recommend spatone as iron tablets from the gp don't agree with me!Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Afternoon all.
Agree with that the bleeding sounds pretty normal, have you perhaps done a bit more than you have been doing? I found if I walked even a little bit or done more moving etc the bleeding would pick up againalso spatone is brill. Iron tablets are yuck!
We've been out this afternoon a nice walk, came back and made mini choc cheesecakestried to show A mixing the bowl etc he tried bless him, lots f mess
cooking a roast for us now, just me and baby tonight, as OH is working as usual

...It turns out that what I thought was one tooth is in fact two! :jI like her strategy - it's going to make you miserable, so why not have two in go and be miserable once rather than twice?
Re. bleeding - mine tailed off and just when I thought it was finally finishing, it came back again and remained on and off until around 5 weeks. A week later my periods started again0 -
Yay for cheesecakes Gilly - I can't wait to start cooking and baking with my little girl!0

Question for those who had a c-section - anyone else with an itchy tummy? I've had no problems at all with my scar, and I wouldn't classify this as a problem either, but in the last couple of weeks it's been really itchy! It's not the visible scar (that itched like hell for a couple of weeks right at the start when it was healing) - this itching is above it, and feels like it's inside my tummy. I know it takes months to fully heal and I'm not at all worried, but it's just a bit weird to suddenly have this when it's been almost 10 months!?0

Re: bleeding..mine was on and off till 5 weeks PP, then it came back just before my 6 week check as bright red - scared me a fair bit I must admit, but the doc seemed fine about it. It cleared within a few days and never came back. I didn't have any clots with it, and it wasn't particularly heavy, but the bright-redness concerned me.
Got some great bargains from the local charity shop today! A v-tech walker, two board books, a couple of fisher price toys and a leap frog talking book all for just over a fiver. Luckily I happened to be there on a BOGOF dayLO loves the v-tech walker already. I put her in her bouncy chair whilst I demonstrated it, and her legs and arms were going crazy, and she had the biggest grin
I've wanted one for her for ages, but only ever seen ones with the phone missing, so today was an opportunity not to be missed. (plus I had lots of fun with it too LOL).
She has definately discovered her hands now, and is bringing them to her mouth at every opportunity. Unfortunately as she's focussing on them, she keeps going cross-eyed and it's freaking me out every timeshe looks completely alien whenever she does it. OH keeps laughing at my reaction, but I can't help it!
I was due to go to my niece's 18th birthday drinks yesterday, but 10 mins before we were due to leave, LO decided to spew all over me and herShe made such a mess all over my lovely new top, jeans, cardi, in my hair etc..that I had to strip off and get in the shower, whilst OH cleaned her up. So we were both in our pyjamas at 5.15pm, and I had to send my apologies as to why we could no longer make it
A word of warning to anyone thinking of buying Sainsbury's size 3 nappies - DON'T! Everytime LO does a dirty nappy, it leaks out the back and she's literally right up to her neck in it! The newborn size were great, but these are a nightmare. Can't wait to get back onto the Aldi ones."When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change" - Wayne Dyer

My LO is currently banging my nail varnish against the metal leg of our dining table. It's very noisy, and she's giggling and grinning like mad0

When I started reading I thought 'yes! Me too' but my itching wasn't inside my tum - it was very much on the surface skin. Basically for some reason I got eczema on my tummy after giving birth. It cleared up quickly with a bit of hydrocortisone.

It might just be her current size and shape. Whenever you change up a size, things can go a bit pear-shaped. If you like the Sainsbury's nappies generally, it's worth trying her again in a few weeks, i.e. don't ditch them or keep on with them if they're leaking a lot - wait and try them later."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0
