i always express in the mornings, normally while feeding Maisie from the other boob, takes a bit juggling baby and pump but it works so much better that way and alot quicker too :)

its my DH birthday sunday i was going to get some of those paint pads out of the early learning center and do something with her hand prints and foot prints but on the container it says from 2 years, am i best not to use it do you think?

It can't be toxic or two year olds wouldn't be able to use it. It's probably because little ones can't actually do painting themselves, so it's not a suitable toy for that age range. Doesn't mean you can't do her hands and feet with it.

Up to you, but it wouldn't put me off.

ETA. The reviews say that the ELC paint stains skin so beware!

Hi everyone! Haven't been around lately cos everything is very busy here with m-i-l visiting, have read back a bit but not all the way (and oooh new thread!) so hope everyone is ok apart from the various colds I can see people are suffering with.

I am here to ask advice about Jumperoos - think we are ready for one now as A is 3 months, great head control and "standing up" a lot as we hold her. I am looking on Ebay and see that there are lots of different models, I can see Rainforest, Precious Planet, Ocean and Luv U Zoo just on the first page. Can anyone suggest which one is the best one please?

Everyone on here rates the Rainforest one, I think. I've missed the boat getting Freddie one; he's too old now. He'd burst his way out scattering bits of broken plastic everywhere like a mini Incredible Hulk. :(

Oh actually having read a bit more about it, it looks like you have to wait till they can sit up themselves, maybe it's not time yet. They look awesome though, wish I would fit myself!

We used it from around 14/15 weeks miss bunbury, he crawled before he sat up by himself, and by then he didn't want to be in it. So I'd say get it now, it she doesn't use it for another few weeks no harm done :)

I loved our rainforest one :)

We have the Love U Zoo jumperoo here and it's fab - Theo LOVES it. I think it's slightly less compact than the rainforest one though if space is an issue (although they're all massive to be honest). We started putting him in it when he was around four and a half months and he was a bit wobbly at first but now he bounces around like a maniac :-) He'll be six months on Monday and he's not really sitting up by himself yet.

We've had an amazing few nights here. He's gone to bed at 7.30 and woken between 6.30-7.00am. Morning wake up has got gradually later over the last three days and it's been amazing since we're so used to starting the day anywhere between 4.30-5.30am. I don't know if it's because we're now weaning or what but it's great. Long may it continue!
  • I did footprints at Christmas with regular child paint from Tesco. It never occurred to me to check the age on it but I think as long as you clean it off straight away and don't let them eat it any paint that is okay for children should be fine.
  • Well LO stirred at about 2am so I put my arm out and rocked her and then she slept till almost five thirty before I needed to feed her. In some ways not so great as by the time she'd fed it was so close to morning that I didn't go back to sleep but it's definitely an improvement so I'm not complaining.

What are everyone's plans for the day? I'm thinking a walk this afternoon and possibly get some things photographed for eBay.
  • Also, don't know if they still have them but when I was buying breastmilk storage bags, they were really cheap in homebargains.:money:

No plans today. Will have to try and get out at some point as the whinging always seems so much worse when you're stuck in. It's sending me a bit cuckoo already and hes not even been up 2 hours...
