I don't know much about Pilates......ill have to have a look on google.
Do you have to wear Lycra (or any other tight fitting garnents) for the classes? You are super slim anyway so you'd be fine but a huffalump like me in Lycra
Christ no, you wear whatever, although heels might be a little awkward. One woman looks like she comes in her pyjamas. It's just like yoga but without all that 'meditate on your chakra' shit."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

Ah but didn't they said the titanic couldn't sink? Better to be safe then sorry.

Love pilates, used to go all the time, pre A, when I was slimmer. I'm back on the Slimming World wagon. Almost one week over and done with and I've not slipped up once, must keep this going, would like to lose a stone at least for going to London. The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

But I've found something fabulous for my waistline that doesn't involve any raised heartbeat, sweating, feeling out of breath or all those other horrible things that exercise does... Pilates. Honestly. I'm obsessed with it. It makes you look fabulous for minimal effort
I've been doing Davina Power of 3, I can now do a minute of star jumps!Only problem is, I can't do it every day, we seem to go through cycles where he sleeps very little and I can't fit it in. I want abs! I've even started doing pushups.

The only exercise I've been doing is running around after my baby, and pacing the floor to stop him crying. So well done to those who have time to fit in star jumps! My lo hardly naps so I can't even do the washing up some days!Newly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0

Just done day 1 of the shred. F ME - I forgot how bloody hard it was  I am sweating like a pig
Never mind hey....1 down, 29 to go. Who's with me?!!
Funnily enough Fluff, I prefer the cardio to the strength. I was struggling with the stomach crunches or whatever GI Jillian calls them.

Lol, mine is 16 months old and I still struggle to get an hour free to exercise! I'm getting seriously peed off with the extra half a stone that refuses to go anywhere. Probably not helped by him still waking up in the night regularly, as the more tired I am, the more rubbish I eat.Washing up on the other hand, that's what teenagers are for.

I fancy getting involved with the shred! I would love to tone up, I've been really lucky and lost all my baby weight at birth, came home at pre preg weight (9st) but have lost another half stone from lack of sleep, food etc, however my belly is not toned so would like to sort that def. I'll try do everyday but can't promise lol! What am I letting myself into!!Newly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0 -
Ill join Team Shred! But I can only really do it on weekdays - I'm not jumping around the living room like a lunatic while OH is at home.
We've got another little party for G today - just a few friends from OHs work. More an excuse for us to have a few drinks really. Got to do some baking ready for it except I forgot to get cocoa and chocolate - two fairly major ingredients if you're making a chocolate cake!Newborn thread member
