My laptop battery arrived. Woohoo, so I'm back :)

MrsH Definitely go to the doctor about the reflux, like Aimless says if it really isn't bothering him, sometimes the meds can do more harm than good but if he's sore with it/crying/uncomfortable go and see what they say.

Nutella No advice with the tooth brushing, A really seems to like it, think he likes the minty flavours, maybe try fruity toothpastes? Have fun with your friend.

Sunshine Hope you and your OH have had a lovely week off with Aiden good weather for a good chunk of it too which is good :j

Katie Beautiful pictures :D Looks like he had a brilliant day!

Lovely pics of George :D I really wish he would stop showing off those walking skills though! :p (me jealous? Never!)

My little man has gone too bed for a nap so I'm going to have a cuppa in peace. Went to the dr's yesterday and they have referred him to the hospital so I have got to wait for an appointment through the post. Dr asked if Noah was pointing, clapping, waving etc and I had to say no to everything! My boy is a simpleton :)

Don't be silly Sammie! I think with 2 older siblings asking and doing things for them sometimes they are slightly lazier. I have definitely witnessed it with several third children :o Hugs xx

I need some toothbrushing tips please. She only has two teeth - both bottom ones - but I'm struggling to brush them. She just refuses and covers them with her tongue so I can't get to them! I normally put her on my lap, but I've also tried sitting opposite her with my own toothbrush (I normally use an electric one, so I bought a 'normal' one that looks like hers) to try and encourage some copycat action. Doesn't work - she just laughs and tries to grab mine! I don't want her to grow up associating toothbrushing with something negative, but at the moment the only way I can get to those two teeth is to keep persisting (after I've exhausted trying to make her laugh, opening my own mouth wide and saying 'aaaaaaah!' etc.) until she starts crying, at which point I can get the brush into her mouth and do a quick clean-up. We can't go on like this - but what to do? Any tips?
We sing a toothbrushing song which LO really loves. We still sing it for the six year old although that's just because she likes it rather than because we need to to be able to clean her teeth.

Lol Sunshine, you could tell when Sainsburys had a 25%off clothing a few weeks ago as half the babies at softplay had those bibs on :rotfl:

I definitely agree about the reflux mrsh. I spoke to our GP about George as he sounds exactly like your little one & was getting quite fussy during some feeds. He's also breastfed so the GP queried colic but we'd tried all sorts of colic remedies & it doesn't occur so much as night as the GP was suggesting colic would so the GP prescribed gaviscon for him.

We don't use the full 6 doses a day, it'd definitely be hard work as you have to mix it up & then give it by spoon or cup, we just use it as & when we need it. Another problem is that if he has it too regularly then it causes him to get a bit bunged up & we end up waiting for a poonami with a very grizzly George as once we pass 24hrs poo-less he gets nadgy until the poonami arrives! We tend to use gripe water first as that can often solve his problem but if it doesn't then the gaviscon comes out :)

I've been looking into my local sling library too, I didn't realise there were so many & quite how many slings they'd have! We're going to pay our local one a visit & have a play with some different slings. I like the idea of a Storchenwiege ring sling & a woven wrap as they're completely adjustable so fancy having a play before we buy one as they can be quite expensive.

    Hey ladies,

Love the pics Katie, he has so much hair! Wish my girlies hair would grow some more!!

Guess what my very clever little lady did yesterday for the first time?! Pulled herself up to her feet and stood up all by herself!! Such a proud mummy, she has been having lots of physio and we've been doing lots of exercises and I'm sooo pleased with her progress!! She has been pulling herself up against everything now and looks so pleased with herself! The only problem is she can't get down again so cries until I move her! One step at a time though!

She looks so funny though stood up, she is still a diddly 17lb baby and looks to small to be standing up!

All this talk about vtech walkers has made me laugh, we have the pink one and the songs and sayings drive me mad, 'welcome to our learning farm, we have lots to show you....' LOL!!
