Morning all
The new Ella's cookbook that I ordered has just arrived! :j I love it already and want to start cooking and baking right now. Except I can't, as I'm supposed to be working, but I'm writing a shopping list and will head to Sainsbury's later.
Katie, we have this bath toy bag - it's fabAnd now I want muffins, and it's all your fault!
Candlewax, I can identify with wanting to go back to work - after 6 months at home it felt like my brain was turning to mush! I went back when LO was 8 and a half months and now have the best of both worlds - 3 days in the office, one day working from home and one day off + the weekend obviously.
Her last birthday present, a Leapfrog Lettersaurus, arrived yesterday - here's hoping it doesn't end up on the list of 'most annoying toys'...
Best get some work done - hope everyone has a good day x0 -
Haha sorry Nutella
. This is the recipe if you fancy it - I'm not really a fan of sultanas so I've not tried one but George devoured the first one! I did it in muffin cases so I can freeze them and defrost them one by one. http://www.babyledweaning.com/recipes/snacks/frannys-fab-and-healthy-banana-cake/#comment-245584

Ooh katiechoc I may try that recipe, they sound yummy and would be great for the boys lunchboxes.
Sunshine - I just googled waterworld. Looks amazing! Have fun.
Noah has the dr's this afternoon and the boys have after school club so I'm going to prepare a cottage pie for dinner as I won't have time later...........that's if I can get my bum off the sofa!

Just been to weigh lo and asked the health visitor about him choking on his spit and all she had to say was go to the gp! Well thanks for that, my oh said he'd read online it was common and she said shed never heard of it! They also told us that lo now weighed 17 pounds!!! He's only 7 weeks! Absolute amatures! safe to say I'm not in a good mood!Newly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0

In my experience health visitors can't or don't seem to suggest much with illness/babies they can say it could be x, y or z but they can't diagnose and treat so they will generally send you to the GP.
Any time I've ever had any issues with A I've gone straight to the GP as I've found the HV team pretty useless.
R,e the weight, have the weighed him incorrectly or they're telling you that's what he should weigh? The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
We asked them to convert it to pounds and she couldnt read the chart properly it seems, regarding the hv I was tellin her about him choking on spit and said he has to cough to get it out and then she was like oh he has a cough? I was like no I didn't say he had a cough! They just generally didn't listen which annoyed me!Newly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0

I'd echo Gilly's comment - I don't bother with the HVs as they'll just tell you to see the GP. I turn up to appointments when I'm asked to (such as for the 8-month development check), but I wouldn't approach them if I had a question or needed advice - I'd get that from the GP or ask you lot!0

Hi all
Back from waterworld, Aiden looovveed it! He had so much fun splashing about, it was really quiet too so we could take him on a few of the smaller rides. And of course me and OH had a few gos in the bigger ones while the other one was holding Aiden
Stopped for a pizza on the way back so I am shattered now. Aidens having a nap so I had better tidy up and put a wash on.
Hope Noahs dr appt goes well Sammie.
Re HVs, mine are hit and miss. When I have asked questions about things like portion size or advice when we went on holiday she was fab, but medical things I would always go to the GP or community paediatric team.

What baby carrier have you bought morocha? We have a mothercare 3-way carrier which is ok but the straps seem to fall off my shoulders easily so not great for using to potter at home. We also have a mamas & papas flex which is brilliant! Much less stress on my neck & shoulders like other slings, multiple positions & George loves it too0
