ive read so much about slings and babies being in the frog position that i bought an amazonas mei tai.Mejor morir de pie que vivir toda una vida de rodillas.0

The flex can be used in a similar looking position but it can also be used in a cradle position which when George is getting clingy can be useful as its similar to being cradled by a person. It might be worth trying to find one 2nd hand (I got ours from a local group on Facebook in BN condition) or trying one out at a sling library if there is one near you (I don't know much about them but people have mentioned them on here before I think).0

Hi Morocha, if you get the right sling/carrier you shouldn't feel the weight too bad. Definitely try get to a sling library and try out different brands. I borrowed a friends ergo and had my 21lber on my back and I could barely feel himThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

Haha sorry Nutella
. This is the recipe if you fancy it - I'm not really a fan of sultanas so I've not tried one but George devoured the first one! I did it in muffin cases so I can freeze them and defrost them one by one. http://www.babyledweaning.com/recipes/snacks/frannys-fab-and-healthy-banana-cake/#comment-245584
Thank youI might just make that - sounds yummy! I don't like sultanas either (I love them straight out of the bag, but they don't belong in cooked/baked food!), so I'd probably replace them with a handful of blueberries.

Morning all
Hope everyone had a good night - my LO slept all night until 5.15 :T I do wish she'd wake up a bit later, but I can't complain - at least I got several hours' sleep.
I need some toothbrushing tips please. She only has two teeth - both bottom ones - but I'm struggling to brush them. She just refuses and covers them with her tongue so I can't get to them! I normally put her on my lap, but I've also tried sitting opposite her with my own toothbrush (I normally use an electric one, so I bought a 'normal' one that looks like hers) to try and encourage some copycat action. Doesn't work - she just laughs and tries to grab mine! I don't want her to grow up associating toothbrushing with something negative, but at the moment the only way I can get to those two teeth is to keep persisting (after I've exhausted trying to make her laugh, opening my own mouth wide and saying 'aaaaaaah!' etc.) until she starts crying, at which point I can get the brush into her mouth and do a quick clean-up. We can't go on like this - but what to do? Any tips?
Lovely morning here today - nice and sunnyWill be doing a bit of cleaning and tidying before heading to the airport to meet a friend coming over from Holland for the weekend. Haven't seen her since we went to visit in December, so really looking forward to catching up
Have a good day ladies x0 -
Nutella have you tried giving her the toothbrush to play with, my LO chews on it for a while, she has 9 teeth and will chew on it and then she lets me take it from her and brush them.
When she was little I had a chewy toothbrush from Amazon, it looked like a gum shield http://www.amazon.co.uk/Brush-Baby-112-Chewable-Toothbrush-Blue/dp/B003469LAM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1368087732&sr=8-1&keywords=chewy+toothbrush I'd help her and when she was a bit older she'd do it herself.
In regards to carriers I have a Manduca and a Opitai, both full buckled as DH can use them as he doesn't trust himself with tying. I also have a couple fo wraps which are fun!! I'd definitely go to a library and try a couple as some are not that comfortable. Also some are suitable for different sizes, I like the Manduca as you can use it when they are small and then with a few adjustments it grows with the baby whereas some are only suitable for a certain size.Got married 13/11/10
