Sorry I had to leave yesterday and my post ended abruptly and I didn't manage to say what I meant. I think we all have some days when everything would be easier if we could keep to our baby routine. I had a bit of an argument yesterday too because I was preparing a presentation for today and DH was upset because he did most housework and wasn't happy. It really annoys me when he goes into that mood, if housework would be fun we would all want to be cleaners, I know it's not the best thing in the world, but I'm also doing every night, work or not the next day, weekend or normal day, and I'm not constantly with a face!! I feel he takes it for granted and I'd like to have more help. But he's also my best friend and a great husband, and I'm also moody sometimes and untidy if I'm busy. We both have our flaws, we just have to try to work on making them more tolerable for each other, lol.
Don't feel guilty or bad, if you are not ready to leave him, you are not ready. You'll cross that bridge when you need to or want to. He's very dependent now, I'm sure things might change when you stop BF and he adjusts his sleeping pattern. I'd try to make DH understand that this situation is not forever, and Dewi will stop being a baby soon and grow to be a toddler. I keep reminding myself of that because I want to enjoy every minute of "babyhood ", as it will pass so quickly and once they grow, they grow. They do grow to be something as equally delightful and lovely, but I want to enjoy every stage.

I was naughty and put V in bed with me at 3am when she grunted so I could have a good sleep because I had to work today :) she had a feed at midnight, grunted at 3am and sleep almost until 7am without asking for a feed. I love how she sleeps against my body and puts her hand on top of my arm. I know I have to stop doing it so she doesn't get used to it, but it's so sweet! I plan to do some sleep training when I finally finish the baby whisperer's book, but I'll miss having her with me a couple of hours at night. she used to sleep until morning in her moses, the problem is that now she rolls onto her tummy, she wakes up because she still doesn't know how to roll back or she feels trapped against the side of the cot because she rolled too much. I hope once she knows how to go back onto her back, she might sleep for longer. And I will stop checking that her nose is free, because the little monster now likes sleeping on her tummy and bury her face between the hands, no matter how many times I try to move her!!!

Marta that is so sweet, i get J in bed with me at 7 so i can sleep till 9 i so love these precious moments, dont ever want them to end, she sleeps in her cot fine tho, hasnt make me pay for sleeping next to me for 9 weeks.

wll go to clean nanas in a bit or go to the supermarket, dont know yet, i have been having awful headaches for a few days now.
I have a friend coming over after school with her baby and toddler. Luckily spent the day cleaning yesterday and the house is fine.

  • Marta I'm the same, he wakes at 7 every morning for a moan, as soon as I put him in bed he goes back to sleep till about 9. He totally knows about cuddles lol. I feel bad after though because I don't want it to become a problem with him learning it as a habit. However I'm very needy and love having my baby sleeping next to me lol! What are we like! :)

With all those worried about sleeping with their babies becoming a 'habit' - will it really? We're cosleeping completely here and he sleeps brilliantly, I would recommend it to anyone. I've read some pro cosleeping books which make good points. No doubt the anti ones also make good points, but for me cosleeping is just so *easy* I don't get why everyone doesn't do it from the start (excepting those where there is heightened SIDS risk due to smoking or alcohol obv).

Had Dewi weighed today. He's now 14lb5 :) can you all please spam me with info on blw. He's great at grabbing stuff so may wean a little bit before the 6 months. Also...any tips on what to say to people who ask when we're weaning and why I'm not using purees?

Also went to get weighed today (for the first time actually aside from at the docs for 8 week jabs and at home at 28 days) - now 7.9kgs.

    blw -
'it's better for his development'? (hand eye coord)
'it hopefully makes him less of a fussy eater'?

I've just said I'm too lazy to puree things! I found most people by far were impressed by it tbh x can't say anyone ever complained about it except my mum lol.
