Katie, that's great that George is feeling better. I got a Maclaren Quest in denim in the end (this one - although only paid £145-ish thanks to discount code, cashback etc.). Love it already, and the denim makes it look a bit different from all the other strollers out there :)

    Morning

Katie - glad George is feeling a better.

Nutella - glad you like your stroller.

Sunshine - hope you manage to get Aiden to sleep!

DP is working today, ds1 is going round his friends and ds2 is going to the zoo with his friend so it's just me and the monkey again today. There is a nearly new baby sale on today at the local leisure centre so may head down there this afternoon.

  • Morning ladies, I had a horrible night, think I had trapped wind in my chest, had 7 hours of constant chest and back pain, couldn't lie down, threw up my tea and all my stomach content a few times. Had rennies, gaviscon and then resorted to cooled boiled water, led down at 5 and we all fell asleep in bed until now, woke up and I would never know I had the pain! Very strange.

Anyway we normally have a feed about 8, he sleeps at 11 then feeds at half 3 then sleeps till 7 then comes in bed for cuddles and then wants a feed about half 8/9 however Thursday night he went 9 hours without a feed so last night as he was falling asleep I did a nasty thing and woke him for his 11 o clock feed to cover him if he wanted to sleep longer during the night. Don't think he was happy being woken but mummy knows best lol!!

It's beautiful here today, sun is shining, so going to wash my hair now, do some washing and hang it out and then me and lo are off to Starbucks for a coffee with my friend and then to work to drop off christening invitations I have made :) enjoy your day all

Good cereals that are low in sugar and salt, bite sized shredded wheat, shreddies, supermarkets own brand cherry/blueberry wheats, own branded Cheerios (not actual Cheerios they're quite sugary) own brand puffed wheats (they're like sugar puffs without the sugar) weetabix (softened and broke into 3?)

Most other cereals are over the salt threshold or are sugary. Hth x

Edit: like nutella said check own brands over branded as they tend to be better.

Porridge is also quite good, just add less milk so it's thicker, put it on a preloaded spoon, thats what we do mostly. He can do yogurt and mash potato himself now but he still needs me to pre load the porridge spoons. I've found since doing this he loves cutlery and eats most of his meals with cutlery now :j I do have to help now and again though.

It seems I really can't read what G is trying to tell me sometimes :(. He had his porridge then within about 10 minutes he was moaning, which progressed to full on screaming and thrashing around, sweating and hot :(. I thought it must be the porridge making him feel poorly again. Eventually woke OH to help, and he suggested some dry toast again to try and settle him - poor little guy was just starving! Feel awful that I let him go for so long (a good 40 minutes) when all he wanted was something to eat :(

Bamama : To be honest if its wet we struggle! We tend to go for lots of walks or go to beach (OH goes surfing while we walk along the sand).

On wet days we run errands but LO is happy at this age just walking around in his pram :) The supermarket is his favourite place! Lol

Katie, know that feeling, one bowl of porridge down, i had to make a slice of toast, that's gone and he's still whining and moaning and pointing at the empty plate. *sigh* Don't beat yourself up, until they can communicate what they want, it's very difficult to understand :o

I think we've just forgotten how to do things Peanut. I've been downstairs since 6.45. He woke half hour or so ago and is lying in bed on his phone. Gonna get the hoover out and maybe scrub the kitchen worktops.

We do Sainsburys mini whole wheat, as it has nothing in except wheat. Occasionally we do Ellas porridge. I did let him have Shreddies at first, till I read the box and found salt as well as sugar, so I switched.
