Daydreambeliever, mine started rolling back to tummy at around 16-17 weeks, but unlike yours she cannot push herself forward with the legs and is nowhere near sitting unaided, or at least I think so. I guess babies just learn things in different orders within the same development leap. Mine has managed to do a 360 twice and land on her back after rolling, but I think impulse and gravity helped. I'm so looking forward to her sitting unaided!
Morocha, mine is very clingy too, but mainly because she sees me 24/7 and we rarely have visitors or meet people, so I think she might not be used to be with anyone else but me and DH. My DH had two weeks paternity leave, three week holidays and bank holidays in between when she was born, so he was at home hands on for almost 6 weeks, I think they bonded quickly because of that and I make sure they have always time together with me out of sight, even if it is just whilst I wash her bottles or a nap. I think it is important that partners feel they are important for the baby aswell, I think babies do not know about "love" as yet, but about "who provides comfort and responds to needs". I don't know at what age this changes, maybe at 8 months when they go through the separation anxiety? No clue, though. Oops, little missus is waking up. Back later.
^^ actually, I retract that. Newborns might not know but this little baby has given me an awesome smile and chuckle when I went to the cot, that must be love, doesn't it?Quit smoking *1st January 2010*

Welcome back fluff!
I've got a poorly baby, 3 horrendous nappies in the time it took me to dry my hair (and I'm a quick blast and its done type of girl). Then woke up from his nap and threw up EVERYWHERE - himself, the floor, the wall and me. First time he's been sick since we started weaning. Food sick is a whole new world compared to bm sick. Bleurgh. He's now asleep on my knee after another outfit change after throwing up all the tiny bit of water he sipped
thank god for Netflix and iPads. Now if only I'd got a cushion(sat on the floor to avoid getting sick on the sofa) and snacks. Got a numb bum and a rumbling tummy!

DayDreamBeliever wrote: »Hi ladies, just a quick question - when did everyone's baby first roll over? Lil miss is sitting unaided, she slivers across the floor on her belly or back using her legs to push herself along however she has never rolled over or indeed shown any interest in doing so, anyone else's little one been the same? She's 21 weeks today.
) - hubby says he went all the way over last week, but I've only seen him get halfway. It followed on from one night where, while asleep, he lifted both legs up and thwacked them down on the mattress. Several times. I think that's integral to how he's managing to roll. Also he can now get his feet near his mouth. He's got no slivering or sitting yet though so guess all are different...

Just got back from my friends, drank far too much tea that I will be having to pee every 10 mins but had a great time! Noah is now asleep so I'm planning on sorting the washing pile and doing some ironing

Marta, yes it is love :j, i am absolutely convinced so is all the family that the way J looks at me, it is love, it can not be anything else. I read in a book that when babies are born, their pupils dilate when they see the mother for us to fall in love with them and look after them, just as we do when we are in love.
J sees people very often, we are a very close family, mil, fil, nana, bil...
She adores Jess, yesterday Jess was having a bath and she couldnt take her eyes off her, so she ended up having a bath with her without crying bear in mind that everytime i bath her she screams her head off..Mejor morir de pie que vivir toda una vida de rodillas.0 -
Does anyone have good suggestions for guest beds? We will be having an au pair soon (yes, it sounds really posh but is actually the cheaper option!) and would like to get a bed that is a single most of the time but can become a double if needed like this one http://www.johnlewis.com/john-lewis-riley-guest-beds/p311175?colour=Oak - except this one you can't zip the two beds together to become a 'proper' superking there will be a gap.0

Katiechoc, hope your LO is better soon
My 2 aren't sitting unaided yet, Amelias very close though. No rolling although Mollie twists herself side to side. Apart from that they don't move at all if you lay them down. And they are 25 weeks. Is that bad?
Nanny and Grandad have had them since 12pm. I was supposed to be blitzing the house and getting lots of things done. Been glued to pinterest all day instead. Oops :rotfl:
Better go get them now. Taking fish and chips up for us all as well:j:T Gorgeous twin girls born 1st Nov 2012 :T:j0 -

Am I? I'm in the one gillix, bamama and turtlemoose are, who's Rups there? Is that the one?
Morocha, to be honest, I also think it's love or bond, but a midwife told me it takes a while for them to get to that point and everything is based on needs. But I bet that's just one theory among many, so I think I'm going to go with the one you postedQuit smoking *1st January 2010*
