I think nutella has a Tripp trapp. I know some one on here has one.

Jannine - we have lovely weather here :) it's supposed to be coming over cloudy this evening but it has been lovely all day.

I have been so tired again today. Noah hasn't napped much so I haven't been able to sneak a sleep in either. Got to pick the boys up in a min so hoping that will wake me up a bit! I went into town today and picked up a Disney cd and book in a charity shop for £1, it has Mickey Mouse and handy manny songs which is Noah's favourite so I expect we will have a sing song on the way to school

Thanks for the suggestions, I like the fact that those two are easily stored away. Anyone has a Stokke Tripp Trapp? My DH likes the wooden look, but I think the price is crazy, maybe from eBay or second hand.

Well remembered Sammie! Yes, we have a Tripp Trapp, and I never miss an opportunity to tell the world how much I love it :D My brother and I both had them as children, and they saw us through to teenage years and beyond. One has since been sold, but the other one is still going strong 30+ years later, and LO is using it when we visit my parents. The one we have at ours is a newer model and even better! They're not cheap, but worth every penny - you'll never need to buy another chair for your child again as they're designed to grow with the child. I also love the fact there's no separate tray - the child gets to sit at the table like everyone else. Easy to clean too :)

If your OH likes the wooden look, but you think Tripp Trapps are too expensive, have a look at the ones from John Lewis. Fluff got one from there - I think it might have been this one.

22 degrees and sunshine here! Today's my day off - just back from lunch with a friend and her little boy - LO is asleep in the buggy, so I'm having a coffee and catching up on here :)

By the way, if anyone needs hair accessories for little girls, my local Bhs has lots of stuff half price. Got 30 little sparkly elastic hair bands for 87p! LO also has her very first pair of sunglasses - although she prefers the packaging to the actual sunglasses. Obviously.

Let's see what DH says, the advantage of the Tripp Trapp or the one you have linked to,is that I can swap a normal chair for the high chair, so it wouldn't take any room. We don't have visitors often, so it would stay at the table with us. We currently put her bouncer on top of the table whilst we eat, but I'd love to be able to put her on a high chair. I want to decide on a model or two and wait for an offer or discount. I guess I cannot put my lo in a high chair yet? She holds her head unaided but she cannot sit unaided, what do you think? I know Stokke has a newborn accessory, which I could try to buy on eBay, and after that I should use a baby pack. Kiddicare has the chair now at £125 or so, but the packs are not cheap either!!! I wish fluff were still around to tell me about her experience with that chair :(

Edit: nutella, I can see in the pictures that the panels slide inside rails in the Tripp Trapp, but how are they kept in place? I cannot see anything stopping them from moving backwards or forward.

Nutella - when we met up at Kiddicare they had Tripp trapp style highchairs in their cafe so we were talking about you having one!
I'm jealous of all the pretty hair bands and clips you can buy for your little girl, I'm sure Noah would forgive me if I just dressed him up a couple of times a week in pretty dresses and girly things wouldn't he? :p

Marta, if you PM Fluff, I'm sure she'll reply :)

The Tripp Trapp panels are kept firmly in place and don't move at all once assembled (it comes flat-packed). To move them up or down, you loosen the side 'panels' (i.e. the two vertical pieces) a little bit, and then you can slide them out and move them up or down as you wish. It comes with a little 'key' that you use to loosen the side bits. It's a bit difficult to explain, but it's easy to do :)

They had Tripp Trapps in the cafe at Kiddicare the other day :) Don't know if I was missing a trick or something but I found it really awkward to get him in it?!

Beautiful here today too - we've been to a play group and he's asleep in his pushchair after the walk home. I've got some work to do (so really shouldn't be on here...:o) but once he wakes up will take him down into the garden for a bit. His new game is running off round the side of the building while I get the washing off the line - and its a communal garden with all the wheelie bins in the corner so he can't just have the whole run of the place. Makes getting the washing in take 7 times as long! More fun though :D

He would, because he's too young to understand things like gender. Unfortunately your DP might not be quite as forgiving :o

Best not ask what else you were saying about me and others on here!...:p :rotfl:

Ha Sammie you beat me to it!

If you're going to dress him up best get it done soon - a friend tried to dress his 18 month old in a tutu and pink tights or something similar (it was for a fancy dress party a few years ago) and he refused to leave the bedroom :rotfl: Poorboy knew he was being laughed at!

The trick is to stand behind the chair and slide LO in that way :)

My LO likes 'helping' me with the washing - I put stuff up on the dryer, she pulls it back down. I put it back up, she pulls it back down. And she's quicker than me, cause she's not worried about the clothes getting creased! Every now and then she'll grab a random garment and crawl around the house with it - a wet pair of OH's underpants was treated to a full tour of the living room floor the other day :rotfl:
