    Evening everyone.

Nutella - I pay £40 a month for my contact lenses the are the Acuvue daily disposables. I really need to have a look to see if I can get them cheaper elsewhere.

I've got to sort out the boys school bags ready for tomorrow, I'm hoping the weather improves so I can start taking Noah in his trike. I'm fed up with doing the school run in the rain now!

Sammie, where do you get your contact lenses? I use the Dailies AquaComfort Plus - they're £48 for a box of 45 from Lensway, and then I usually order when they have a free postage offer or money off or whatever. The one thing that annoys me about them is a 'handling fee' of £5.75 that gets added to every order, but I try to treat it the way I would a budget airline - i.e. focus on the total amount I'm paying rather than the individual frustrating fees and charges. Must admit I haven't checked in a while to see if I could get them cheaper elsewhere though; I've been sticking with Lensway because they're reliable, reasonably priced and send me good offers on glasses :o

Oh, and on clothes sizes - my LO's 11 months and some 12-18 fit her, but we've started on 18-24. Like Dizzi, I think we're going to have summer wardrobe problems as some of the things I bought won't last until August unless she decides to slow down a bit! I bought an 18-24 denim jacket for spring/summer - it fits perfectly now, but would have been too small very soon, so I had to exchange it for size 2 years

Annoyingly most of our summer stuff my mum bought dirt cheap over the winter in the Matalan clearance shop - so we can't take it back and swap it. Thankfully sun dresses and stuff don't need to fit properly like trousers do, and no one's going to notice if capri pants come up a little bit short.

She gets us a lot of stuff from TK Maxx as well - and lots of the continental stuff is really small fitting anyway (but cute as hell) - basically my mum buys us tonnes of clothes for the girls - we hardly buy anything much ourselves!

I get mine through boots opticians, I get a free contact lense test every 2 years included in the price and I have 2 boxes of 30 delivered monthly. I use the 1 day Acuvue moist.

Just a quick question for you all,

Family members have starting commenting (not nastily) that I won't let anyone look after Noah or go anywhere without him. Deep down it makes me quite scared to think of him not being with me, I have been out for a meal twice since having him and that was only because OH literally dragged me out the door and arranged babysitters without me knowing as he knew I wouldn't. We were gone max 2 hours both times. If I need to go into town people will offer to have him for me but I always say no. I think people are now starting to question if something is wrong. I don't feel there is anything wrong with me. I feel comfortable leaving him with DP for an hour or so but hate the thought of anyone else looking after him. Does/has anyone else felt like this?

I've found you can really stretch the wear of girls summer dresses by putting them with cropped leggings :) people just think its meant to be short!

Hope everyone has had a good day :D

I cleared my washing mountain then did 4 loads so it came back :rotfl:

Looking forward to school tomorrow :j going to try and make the sandwiches in a minute for a hopefully stress free morning... We shall see.

Squeak also back at nursery, she will be pleased as has been asking about it the last few days.

    Hi ladies,
Just briefly popping in to say hi & can I join you all? Our little man; Connor was born on the 25th March.
Quick question before I run to make another bottle, for those of you who bottle feed how much was your lo having at 3 weeks? C is polishing off 120ml at a time & is showing signs of still being hungry after! Don't want to overfeed by increasing the amount but don't want him to be hungry either.
Hope you are all having a good day

    Hi SpiderWestCider

I just dug out our notes to check and at 3 weeks he had 120-150ml ca. every 4-4.5 hours. At 5 weeks he was getting 150ml. That includes small amounts of breast milk.

One of the nurses at SCBU said that you can't overfeed a bottle fed baby as they will refuse the bottle once they're full. I don't know if it is true for all babies but my LO was turning his head away and crying if you tried to give him more milk than he wanted. Now that he's older he doesn't cry but pushes the bottle away when he's had enough.

Im the same....I have been out twice with girlfriends for a night out since he has been born, both times he was in bed before I left.

My mum and OH keep saying we should let her have him and go out for a meal together - I dont want to. We can go for early tea and take him with us! Aiden is very very attached to me, I hate the though of him thinking I am leaving him. He is ok at nursery now and loves it but I dont want to leave him of an evening. It causes afew cross words with me and the OH, so I dont know if its a motherly thing maybe. Plus, the way my son sleeps atm I dont want my mum having to try and calm him down!

So you arent alone :) xx

Now I'm wondering if I'm a bit odd! I don't have a problem with being away from little lady. Of course I think of her all the time and wonder what she's doing, but I'm fine about it. The exception was my 5 days in Kenya back in February - that was a bit tough as it was for such a long time and physically so very far away! :o

She's at nursery 3 days a week, and to be brutally honest, when I sit down at my desk on Monday morning with (hot) porridge and a (hot) coffee I sometimes take a deep breath and think 'Phew! A break!'. Doesn't mean I don't love her or don't enjoy being with her - of course I do - but looking after a baby is hard work and every now and then it's nice to just be me, to not be covered in food leftovers, and to eat or drink something whilst it's still hot :o She's the best thing that's ever happened to me (alongside meeting and marrying OH) and I love her more than I ever knew it was possible to love someone, but I also enjoy spending time on my own and with other people. At the end of maternity leave I was very ready indeed to go back to work...

I had a day out with a friend last month and it was fab. Went clothes shopping and could try things on for the first time in months (LO gets too impatient for that), could eat lunch for as long as I felt like (again, she gets bored) and could give my friend 100% of my attention rather than constanly making sure LO was happy and entertained.

Unfortunately my parents live abroad; they would have loved to be able to look after her more often :o

We have a Gap dress size 6-9 months (the only 6-9 item that she's still able to wear) - she used to wear it with tights; now that it's too short for that she wears it with leggings, and it just looks like a nice long top with 3/4 length sleeves :)

Delain, where do you buy cropped leggings? I wanted to get some for the summer - I found some light yellow ones in Gap, but I'd like a couple more.

PS: Ahem, yes we do love Gap in this house - they seem to suit her body shape better than clothes from any other shop... :o
