That cot looks great, how long do you think it can be used for, this one is long and her dad is 6ft 4, I want to delay buying a bedroom until she's 4-5 years old, and then we'll order a made to measure one, we need to use part of her room, tiny flat!! So we are thinking about over the head cupboards for us, and integrated desk and storage for her. Plus at that time I'll be 40 and I'll know if we need a single bed or bunk beds!!

I think it says about till about 3?

It looks good, though. I'll have to talk to DH and see what he thinks. With that one we don't need to rearrange all the furniture, but we'll have to buy a toddler bed afterwards. Or get into a lot of trouble moving stuff.from room to room and garage, and have a cheaper one that might last for longer. That one you posted has underbed storage too, though. Thank you!!!

Sunshine - such a sweet pic :D having fun in the park. His big smile makes up for his lack of hair!! ;)

Katiechoc - haven't seen you on here as much lately, hope you had a nice time with your mum (I think that's where you went) and George is ok. :)

Hi Sammie :). We're fine thanks, yep George and I were up at my mums for a few days and now we're at mil's with OH too so not had chance to get on much. Thanks for asking :)

Jannine glad to see you back too! And glad work is going ok.

    Love all the pics :T

I put G down for a nap 10 minutes ago in his travel cot at mil's and just popped up to check on him - stood up trying to get the cupboard door open (I'd shifted the cot over to sit down to feed him) and he'd managed to get his trousers off!

    Hello Shiny New Thread!!!

    Hi ladies

Hope everyone is well and babies are happy :)

Just got back from Edinburgh. 4hrs by train, but 7hrs altogether door to door, with a 1 year old. Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!! Bless him, he did really well, but its too long for him to be in his pram, then in a train seat, trying to keep him occupied. It was an experience, but we won't be doing it again in a hurry. We left Edinburgh at 12 yesterday, and only got home at 7pm last night. Long day for my little sausage x

  • Re cots and cot beds - how do cot beds change from a cot into a cot bed? Is it just a case of taking the sides off? G is in a cot with a drop side, (which we never use, quicker to just hoick him straight up) its a big one, same dims as that beautiful one aimless posted but no technically a cot bed. Wondering if we can just take the sides off and be cheapskates...?!

Hi mozzy! Haha yep I went in the end lol. Decided to not try and sneak out so told him I was going - he went a bit mad but not hysterical like the last few times I've left the room.

I don't envy your 7 hour trip with littlie. I get restless on a train for that long, so can understand a one year old getting tetchy!

Yes, its pretty much just taking the sides off, so you left with the head/foot board x

Mozzy - 7 hrs! Wow, I was worried about a 1 and a half hour flight to Spain when Noah was younger!

Katie - our sides come off our cot bed and we will need to take the bottom off each end (2 seperate bits) so the head and foot board won't be as tall as the cot if that makes sense!!

Going to take the boys to McDonald's in a bit before they go back to school tomorrow. I'm going to eat first though, I've lost 4lbs so far. I'm following weight watchers. :D

  • Hi all :)

Thought I'd touch base with the new thread. Been busy of late, what with one thing and another, I find it difficult to post at the best of times!

Sods law about the C&G milk..just when I decided to swap from Aptamil to C&G after finding out they're exactly the same, we get supply problems!! In Morrisons this morning I had the last tin of the ordinary Stage 1 (this was before I knew about the issues) so I might end up sticking with Aptamil for a couple more weeks, until everything's sorted, presuming I can still get that. Apparently the comfort milk will be back on the shelves by mid March.

Well I now have LO's summer clothes all sorted. I won a beautiful bundle of clothes from ebay for £25 plus postage, lovely outfits from Next, Miniclub, TU and more...plus I ordered pyjamas and vests from Asda which were delivered today. I'm ditching sleepsuits from now on as I'm fed up of LO growing out of them so quickly. She is currently 10 weeks old and already the 3-6 month suits are getting too short and her toes are starting to curl up at the bottom of them...she is so long, bless her! The pyjamas I got are beautiful, 2 for a fiver so a bargain.

Well must dash, school run to do in a mo. My mum and dad have been doing it since LO was born, but now I'm in more of a routine I've got no excuse really! ;)
