Kiddicare has a great sale, with some items at 70% off, worth having a look at the clearance. There were some bibs originally priced £10 for two, wipeable, now at under £2, are these worth to stock on? I'm buying a foldable changing mat to have on the pram and I could add a couple of other items. What would you say has been great during weaning period? I know I have a few months ahead, but I like looking for bargains :)

Thanks fluff and bamama regarding ikkle and sexymouse. I guess they are both then on the mse group in Facebook and I just don't know who they are? Lol

My LO has a funny hair style. She has been rubbing her head from side to side for weeks, so all round her head there is a "line" without hair!! From ear to ear, about an inch thick. Below that bold patch, she's got dark hair like me, above that line, she's got beautiful bronze hair like her dad. Weird!!

I know I asked about something similar before, still thinking about dropside cotbeds. I currently have the moses by my bed, so when she wakes up I pick her up without getting up and I feed her. I am wondering if I could do the same with a cotbed, if I leave the dropside down against my bed, could I just get her out as easily? Or would I probably need to get out of bed and stand up anyway? I was between a Winnie the pooh one currently at £120 with the discount, or a tutti bambini filip one, which has beads to play with and dropside, for £162. I'm just wondering whether the dropside will be useful or not.

Re: work, I really don't want to even think about it!!! My contracts ended whilst pregnant so I don't really have a job to go back to. I have been told I can go back whenever I'm ready but I'll probably only been able to do Saturdays morning. It's a job teaching adults, and most classes are 6-9pm, but DH does not arrive until 6:30pm. DH would like me to stay at home, but I have some credit cards I need to clear plus my studies at uni are expensive as hell!! So I need at least some small income for that.

Marta, re cots, I'd think beyond the next few months and consider what you'll be doing in a year or two. You'll hopefully stop feeding her at night once she hits 6 or 7 months, and in any case she'll get too heavy for you to comfortably lift her across rather than upwards. Will you be moving her into her own room and away from your bed? I was desperate to get my LO into her own room come 6 months as we kept waking each other up - I remember having a bad cold once and having to rush into the bathroom whenever I needed to cough! Will you be getting a mobile? I think they're worth every penny, and if you are you won't need things like beads to play with. But having said all this, if you're still unsure, personally I see no reason not to get a dropside if you find one you like within your budget - it can't do any harm!

Top tip re. picture size, ladies...

Before you put your picture on a hosting site, when it's just on your computer, open it using Paint. This will open it its 'true' size so you can see how big it will end up when you put it up on MSE. In the top left will be the opportunity to resize. Make sure 'percentage' is checked and change the values (from 100). (If you change one, i.e. the horizontal value, the other will change).

I have to do this else my pictures will end up massive! I normally change them to 20% although it will depend on how big your pic is to start with.

This is using Windows 7, but most Windows OS will be similar I guess.

Lol Nutella, that could just be wishful thinking, at 13 months we've regressed to newborn here and want feeding every night!

I've got a Tutti Bambini, I like it, the finish is a bit scruffy in places but I got a part refund for that (Boots are good). If you're short of space like me, they do a cot sized one that still converts to a bed, and later to a little sofa. I never use our drop side, as I don't want my clever little so and so to realise it does it. Mine has holes predrilled to screw it fixed.

Oh, when it comes to adjustable bases, I never bother, just put mine at the lowest straight away. Remember adjusting it means dismantling it, usually in a hurry when they've decided to make a developmental leap overnight :D

This is mine. I ordered instore when they had a points event on and got a ton of points on it.

Btw, though mine is against the bed, now he's heavy I find it easier to pick him up from the floor side, as it's solid underfoot.

Sunshine - such a sweet pic :D having fun in the park. His big smile makes up for his lack of hair!! ;)

Katiechoc - haven't seen you on here as much lately, hope you had a nice time with your mum (I think that's where you went) and George is ok. :)

I'm so jealous of your sleigh cot  I really wanted one but there wasn't enough room in the nursery for one so DP wouldn't buy [STRIKE]me[/STRIKE] Noah one :( so what if it covers half the door so you cant access the room, they look lovely!

That cot looks great, how long do you think it can be used for, this one is long and her dad is 6ft 4, I want to delay buying a bedroom until she's 4-5 years old, and then we'll order a made to measure one, we need to use part of her room, tiny flat!! So we are thinking about over the head cupboards for us, and integrated desk and storage for her. Plus at that time I'll be 40 and I'll know if we need a single bed or bunk beds!!

That one's smaller than the usual sleigh ones, it's only cot size not cot bed. Luckily, as it barely fits in as it is! :D There's just enough room for me to inch down the side, long as I go sideways :D
