Ha ha katiechoc. I love it when babies find things funny. So cute. How are the party plans coming along?
Noah woke up about 30 mins ago so I went downstairs to put the kettle on before getting him out of bed, as he was just stirring, came back up and he's asleep again!

I wish George would sleep late every so often! We were up at6.30 this morning, which is an improvement on the 6am starts we've had all week.
Party plans are ok thanks, handed out the first of the invites yesterday. Need to think of a few other little games we can do, any ideas? I'm hoping it'll be nice so then they can play on the swings in the park but need back up plans for if it rains as we'll have it at home instead. Thought I might get a few cheap inflatable balls, and obviously some balloonsNewborn thread member

I struggled with party games too, we had pass the parcel and I put a little musical instrument (the plastic type you can get from a supermarket) under each layer. Apart from that they bopped around to Noah's Disney junior cd, it was sweet seeing them get excited when they favourite tune came on!
If it is nice weather and not too windy maybe something like this would keep them occupied for 2 mins!

Ooh thanks that looks really good! The toy library near me has a bible blowing machine for hire too, might give that a go. Really hope it's nice weather!
Right, need to get the washing up done - G has finally gone off for his nap. I'd got into the habit of feeding off for naps again after he was poorly but decided enoughs enough now. Poor little guy screamed and screamedNewborn thread member

I imagined it like one of those pitching machines that shoot tennis balls...
In which case, you wouldn't want to sit in front of it for fear of concussion :rotfl:Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

:rotfl:The bible blowing machine made me laugh out loud! Never a dull moment on this thread!
I've changed my mind - I want another child just so I can go back to Clarks and repeat today's 'my first shoes' experienceIt was fab - and the little photo they took is so cute! They gave me two so I can keep one in my wallet too.
Had a really good day so far - went to Costa afterwards; LO (proudly wearing her new shoes) had her lunch and I had a big coffee (and I *may* have had a Belgian chocolate tart as well...). Walked home through two parks - it was lovely and sunny and the birds were singing and I was able to take my coat off without freezing to death. LO slept all the way home and is still asleep in the buggy an hour and a half later.
Hope everyone else is having a good day too x
PS: Well done Jade! :T0
