Ipads do make me laugh :) I sometimes do stuff wrong with the Kindle, my spelling for example especially on FB!

This morning I am pondering. I have tutoring at 3 and going over to a friend's after.

Have loads of school work. need to clean out the piggies. Have finally found a way - puppy pads and newspaper that means they don't stink instantly.

I do have a tummy ache though. weird.

Money wise........got little bits everywhere. I think for May it will be spend as little as possible and then in June have a reorganisation re bank accounts and paying stuff. And I will pay off the loan and keep the debt to the CC.

Am going to watch the Andrew Marr show, probably shout at the TV. I do in part feel sorry for politicians. It is so much more complicated to run an economy than it seems - well I think so anyway. They live in a world of instant sound bites and slogans. And the reality is - as we all know there is no quick fix or instant remedy. Solving money problems does take time. Mind you this logical calm approach will go out of the window in a sec when I see interview or something!

    Hi Buffy,

I'm well, thank you! After lots of soul-searching and wondering whether to completely leave the profession, I finally decided to go down to three days a week from September. I am hoping that will help me to achieve some sort of work-life balance. A sort of 'halfway house' really, because if it doesn't work, I will ultimately do exactly as you have. Scary but exciting times!

    Roughly 47 days to go!

I don't really have much advice about the money stuff, especially as I am sucking at managing mine at the moment, and daren't even look at my account today, but until you have a job, I think I'd be tempted to keep some easily-available funds to one side if you have them, rather than paying off as much debt as you possibly can. That way you'll leave the option of private treatment open if it becomes necessary, but you'll also be able to manage if you don't find another job straight away.

That's just how I think I'd look at it though, not actual advice. :)

  • I have pretty much decided to pay off the loan with the bt and leave the 1500 pound balance on the loan for May, June and July - well I pay off 500 pounds per month and will pay 100 to the CC balance each month. I have stuff to e-bay and pre-loved.

bit scared about all this to be honest!! Cannot wait for May's pay day. Then I can sort out exactly what money is going where.

    Been writing reports.

It is so boring. but they are finished now. have also had the most AWFUL upset tummy. Every time I eat I get cramps. I *think* I ate some suss chicken on Sunday and I am a bit pathetic when it comes to food. And I have pulled some muscles in my hand and they hurt!

am a bit cold sitting here. Should be marking. Am a right whinge tonight.

got to mark assessments and exams and then books in the morning.

Week at work has been rough. but sorted now. Money, I bought petrol and Sainsbury's. Need to get my friend's birthday present and work out how I am going to pay for dinner out tomorrow night. May attempt it on my cash card.

We don't get paid for another two weeks but if I can manage on my money withOUT a CC bill and can lower the loan (still doing imaginary sums) then that will make June/July easier.

feel so unwell sorry to be pathetic. wonder if it is caused by stress??

Hope everyone reading is doing good.

    Love Buffy xxx
