Hi Buffy
Not quite the decision I was expecting - I thought you might be moving in with your lovely man! However, good decision considering it's your job that's making you unhappy! Very brave but I bet you're relieved now you've made up your mind.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Hooray! Another teaching friend of mine has come to the very same decision. Sometimes a change can make the world of difference. Best of luck with whatever comes next and so glad to hear things are fab with the man!0

That's brilliant - we've been mates on here for a long time. I know how much you have battled and fought to make work work for you. I really do hope that this leads to lots of doors opening for you. You truly do deserve it.
Lovely to hear about the OH too - I like him too (because you seem so happy about him!).
Will you carry on with the second job or are you looking for a completely new career?
signing off for now with a big goofy grin on my face...

Oh you lot are just fab frankly.
day at work was awful. I shall sit down at the weekend to work out how many days I have left!
thank you so much for being so kind.
Lovely lovely people in the world.

Just some money stuff. Copied from the May thread.
Grrrr. Just wrote a post and lost it.
Summary
1. I borrowed 7000 pounds to pay for
Masters - due now
Car - ???? needed as my lovely car is on his last legs. Oh I love him tho.
Garden - being done in May.
Dentist/private medical stuff. - decided to NHS it for the most part.
2. Current debt stands at £5592
3. June's payment will be £500.
4. Balance transfer= £4167.
5. Amount of loan left will be £1592 (£167= bt fee)
6. Now I could pay it off with some of the money left from not paying for the medical stuff. It is the logical thing to do. It would mean I would have a debt of around 4000. Lose me the option of paying for private treatment tho.
I do have other CCs with BT or 0% deals.
so will continue to think out loud.
thoughts welcome.

Buffy, I am a long-time lurker who posted on your diary two or three years ago (I don't know whether you'll remember but I am also a teacher who sympathised with your situation). I just wanted to congratulate you on a brave but BRILLIANT decision you have made!! I am so pleased for you! You seem to have had such a rough couple of years and I hope the new man and this turning point are going to be the start of an amazing future for you! One life and all that!
How exciting!
Loux
I do remember you! How are you doing?
Thank you so much for posting. I cannot believe how supportive people have been.
It feels very strange.
but good. Still very very good.Nevertheless she persisted.0 -
You know those nights when you have figures going round your head over and over and over.
I can't do any thing tonight.
just do the sums.
glad about Wigan. should go to bed. Cannot believe it is almost 12!
I think I shall pay off the loan with the BT and some of the money I was going to use. I will have money - am still getting paid till August.
would ideally like to have a debt of about 3000 by the time I leave my job.
also need to do a PPI claim so think I shall go and investigate that.

Hi Buffy
Great news! Your job sounded horrendous. I'm so glad you're out of there - onwards and upwards...
GwenxThough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending0 -
Sorry I have somehow managed to report someone's post as spam by mistake!!!! Think it's yours Buffy - damned iPad. Only hovered my finger on screen. Don't know how to undo this!
Aside from this horror - I'm glad you're coming to some decisions and making plans. Hope everything works out for you.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0
