MSE NI -- outlook on the property index -- Marathonic bravely attempting to say that if we don't buy now we will miss the bottom.

The above quote is on HPC and linked to this thread. It looks like my 'brave' predictions of rises turned out better than expected for 2013 with two quarters of 2% rises.

I had been expecting quarterly figures of 0-1% and, therefore, the annual figure to turn positive early next year. However, the annual figure has already turned positive.

It's now time for the media to jump on the 'prices are rising' bandwagon.

Not many punters out there that would even dream of predicting house prices in Northern Ireland are going anywhere for the next 10 years...

    Prices on the up...

Whats your budget for when you buy a house?

We can see how much not buying has cost you?

Exactly - compared to an average price on the Q3 2012 report of £94,895. Might be time to crack open that Christmas Champers early :D

    With interest rates at 0.5%.

I'd keep it on ice for a while yet.

With 5-year fixed rates at 2.79%, I might consider buying another bottle... ;)

Prices bottomed out, interest rates at an all time low - struggling to think of a better time to buy?

Shame you havent got that deposit saved up yet. :(

I'm saving a deposit, looking around 30-40%. Can't see the falls stopping for at least 3 years.

I hope the "can't see the falls stopping for at least 3 years" quote was made in 2010 :rotfl:

I know, if only I had my parents to help me out. They haven't even offered to move in with me. :D
