which meant that I should of waited another 6 days before applying for a card again!

If its any help, it'll appear in your list of accounts before you get the card if you've been accepted, so you'll be able to at least find out that way.
I applied for the Select card on Sunday and its appeared this morning, so yours may show today or tomorrow!0 -

Nationwide is a fantastic bank. I recieve a phone call today, so decided to ask them regarding the application. Said I have been agreed in principal. Should receive the terms of conditions through the post in which I need to sign and return. (Will go to the bank to complete this)
I just can't believe it. I am actually getting a card with a decent credit limit!

Account is now opened! Went into the branch to fax over the details to the account opening team.
The members of staff of branch said they were quite surprised I got accepted with a credit limit of 2400, said I must be doing something right for my age, because their a building society so their lending is more stricter.
I've switched over my direct debits from HSBC to nationwide because I haven't been using NW much so I will be doing it now. Plus they've been so good to me.
I might try for their select card in a years time! :P£1600 saved in bank, target 20K by 1st march 2014.

They're a good [STRIKE]bank[/STRIKE] building society, you'll enjoy being with them.
Once you've used your Nationwide Bank Account as your main account for three months, crediting £750+ each month, you can call their credit card team and they will simply change your credit card to a select card, no application necessary.
You can't hold two credit cards at the same time with Nationwide though.Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48
