If you're right, explain to me how my other half was approved for a Nationwide Loan for £20,000 at under 10% and a Barclaycard Platinum with £6,700 limit despite having a "Poor" Credit Expert score?

    You yourself said that

So what, are you calling me a liar?

    :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I don't have your other halfs credit report in front of me so how can i tell you? All i have are my 3 reports.

Credit reference agencies do not provide scores to lenders at all

They do however provide consultancy with lenders to help lenders devise their own score sheet. This is very different.

The only information given to a lender who performs a search on a borrower, is the raw credit file data itself, not any score - this is calculated using the lenders own score sheet by their own computer

Do you have a source for the claim that CRAs do not provide any scores to lenders?

I can categorically say that your claim is incorrect. Besides having seen it with my own eyes, it is backed up by this page on the Experian website. If you scroll down, you will see a list of eight different scores that Experian provides to banks.

None of these are the same as the score provided to individuals.

You know what....we are not going to argue with you any longer....because no matter what you will not listen to anyone else despite being completely wrong....you know of course better than anyone else here so what is the point.

We? So you now speak for others too, Oh how nice of you dear. :rotfl:

On this matter i do know as much or better then most, i agree. When you've been right at the bottom (credit report) and worked your way up you learn a lot a long the way.

On everything else i do not, hence why i'm here :p

I think you're just gutted because you've wasted so much money on ridiculous scores sold by agencies that don't lend cash.

This is True as read up on it a few times and yes the scores sold to individuals are not that given to lenders.

    To a certain extent.

What Experian are offering on the page you linked to are various managed services customised to the needs of the client, which I alluded to somewhat in my post. They consult with the client to establish what they are looking for in a customer and build a scoring system around their requirements, so that the client can know how close to their ideal customer a given applicant is.
Tailored to business requirements - Where needed, additional characteristics can be added for specific organisations or market sectors to ensure the overall scoring solution meets every business requirement.
What's important here, is there's no such as a fixed score for someone's credit report. It varies from lender to lender.

Three clients may have bought the service you linked to from Experian, but when each of these clients does their credit check on the same applicant, they each produce a different score to one another at the end, because their requirements are different - they all have a different target customer, which Experian would have built each of their scoring models towards.

I'd like to think we're pretty much in agreement on this but perhaps phrased things differently? :o

It's just pointless. You come across the sort of person who could be beaten around the head with the truth from morning 'till night and still stick to your guns... The sort of person who would have someone stick a gun to their head and carry on talking despite being told to be quiet by the gunman because "you know you're right".

    What you said was:

English Grammar dictates that "them" in the part of the sentence "They DO use them", refers to the "low score" mentioned earlier in the sentence.

If you don't want people to misinterpret your posts, use grammar correctly.

Well i try my best but sometimes i don't see the mistakes, And then can't be bothered to edit as this is the internet not english class. But i see what you are getting at and yes it was my fault that people missunderstood my crap writing skills, Sorry :rotfl:
