Just checking in and letting you know I've now quit for 4 months as of yesterday! So proud of myself, there have been times when I could have quite happily cracked but I didn't and I live to tell the tale!

In the last six weeks I've started a job after 6 years of being a stay-at-home mum and that has started to shift my weight that I put on from quitting as I walk 4 miles a day to and from work.

Keep going everyone, it is worth it even if it doesn't feel like it right now!

Congratulations Daz!!!!!:T That really is marvellous news, yours too Lula!!! :T How about your wife Daz, did she sick to it? I really do hope so.

Hi Sue-UU, hope thins are well?

she has done really well and is about 6 weeks behind me so nearly done a couple of months.

Given that we have both endured the stress of childbirth recently, welcoming Katie Rose (DD number 4) into the world and have survived the temptation of excuse that "Its a stressful" event.:j

Was dissapointed at getting home fron hospital in morning to find that my mother had ignored all grounds of reason and smoked in my house while looking after my other three children . (Something my wife and i have not done for 4 years prior to quitting.) Just what i needed to smell after not sleeping for 40hrs.. had to air the house thoroughly before bringing DW and little bird home.

Anyway we are all well and healthy and didn't succomb even though temptation wass put right under our noses...

Well Done Hula-Lula, dosn't it feel amazing? I smoked various things for 14 years and am wondering now why i wasted soo much money.

Good Luck WASPEZE. We are all routing for you.

Hi Daz and thanks so much for the update on your wife. Many congratulations to her and to you BOTH on the birth of Katie Rose (beautiful names that go together wonderfully)!!! Another very special reason to stay quit, and good for you both on doing so, I'm so very, very delighted for you. :T

Oooooh, I can so imagine how you felt about your mum smoking in the house with your other little ones! I know I'd have been livid!!! Hopefully she won't do it again ....and may even be converted in time!!!;)

Very best wishes to you all and keep up that fantastic work Daz!
