OK its 5.21am and I can't sleep so I'm monopolising the boards - lol! Just a quick post to say inspite of my hair disasters and being unable to sleep (very unlike me!) I have not had nor needed a cigarette - in the past I would likely have smoked 10 through a situation like this!! So feeling good about that at least!!!
Going to bed now.
Happy smokefree day all.

Morning all, IDA I presume you're still asleep as you were still up at an ungodly hour!!
Really want to smoke this morning, had a really bad day so far, well more unlucky really...
Listening to XFM this morning and entered the competition to win tickets to see Biffy Clyro, half hour later I was on the tube and my phone rings, it's XFM woooohooooooo I hear you scream! Then just as he introduces himself my train goes into a tunnel and we're cut off
I'm so upset I could cry
I love Biffy Clyro, plus I love making a hideous fool of myself live on the radio and didn't get the opportunityDFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -

Oh no jo! Sods law. typical. Never mind.
I had to do a quick google search for 'Biffy Clyro'...as I didnt know who he/they were!!
Things will get better today Jo....dont let that nasty nicotine man get the better of you.
I feel OK today after yesterdays hard cravings.....I would have felt soooo guilty/upset/gutted/ashamed if I had given in to them...but i feel great!
I seem to have lots and lots of money in my pockets these days too.....hmmm....!! Excellent!
Heres to a smoke free day everyone!!!good luck...
cheers! :rotfl:I gave up smoking on: Sunday 29th July 2007 @ 7.38pm!

Lucky you!!! Use it wisely
I've cheered up slightly, still gutted but thankful that it was only gig tickets I lost out on and not a big holiday or big cash prize. I know I would've definately won the tickets cos I knew the answer but then they give you a bonus question, they play 10 seconds of a song and you gotta guess what and who it was and what year it came out for £100, I'm pretty crap at things like that so probably just as well I didn't get to make a fool of myself, particularly as I know quite a few people who listen to that breakfast show! I remember my BIL making a total idiot of himself on the drive time show with Zoe Ball a few years back and he never lived it down!
Still really feel like smoking though, just like IDA says, not craving just wanting one!! I'm not going to, I'm going to gorge myself with crisps and chocolate instead and wallow in self pityDFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
I'm with you Jo chocolate and crisps sound good to me, self pity too no smoking and bad hair, I'm not gonna say it couldn't be worse cause it probably will be lol. Lets gorge together hun!

Lets at least revel in the fact that in a few days we'll be on holiday, no work worries, free to sit on our backsides and do absolultely nothing

You lucky lucky lot! I've already had my 2 weeks off this summer. Cant complain I've got another 2 weeks paternity in October, and another 2 weeks in November, and another 2 weeks in December!
Good luck to everyone who's battling the nicotine addiction....
