hey feedie,
nice to hear from you & good news re the cigs
I dont miss them either & i love to hear you've redirected your funds towards good things like art supplies  I'm redirecting mine into clothes & shoe shops which I think is equally  but not very money saving so I really need to stop that as I know I've spent far more than I would have on done on cigs
.
I'm trying hard not to have cakes as I've put on nearly half a stone  since June 30th but if there's a brownie looking for a good home then throw it over & I promise to take care of it
Keep up the good work all you non smokers & Waspeze, we havent forgotten you so dont go thinking you're safe

Hi i quit last Tuesday so did my OH, I am saving the cash in a tin which i carry round with me! Everytime i 'need' a fag i open the tin and waft throught the ten pound notes that generally helps - saved £42 since Tuesday, planning on using the cash as spending money for a short holiday with the kids. Good Luck folks! x xYou can stand there and agonize........

A Suggestion

AVOID Pizza or any meats with a `smoked` flavouring.
Had a Pepperoni Pizza on Saturday and   Nearly went off the rails
Thank God all the shops were shut

hey lita,
welcome & well done so far
.
Aaah, the old " I could rip through concrete with my bare hands" sensation. My advice is to use that surge of strenth wisely ie - dig, knead bread or just get in touch with some one who's really hacked you off
.
Sounds like you're going cold turkey - very brave , I used gum to help with murderous feelings & dear Feedie recommends sour sweets.
Drinking a glass of water for each craving is very helpful & a glass of orange juice wiil do the same as well as replenishing your vitamin c levels & helping to flush the toxins out of your system.
Very tired so have to crash now, just wanted to give you a quick response as this thread often goes very quiet at night.
Good luck & keep posting - it helps keep the fingers busy
