hi all
this is my third attempt - i have not had a cig since 7.30am on wednesday - i am using patches and the inhalator if i feel cravings, so far it is workin - feel grumpy but hoping this will pass soon
Good luck everyone!0 -
Hey everyone,
Congratulations to all having week/month/anniversaries :j  :j & a big welcome to all the newbies, I wont lie, it is tough but so worth it. By day 3 I could have ripped up concrete with my bare hands so I recommend you use that angry energy surge wisely - digging worked for me.
This is a fab thread & although it does go quiet & tumbleweeds roll past sometimes EVERYONE is very supportive, encouraging & understands exactly what you're going through.
Very tired so off to bed, will check in again tomorrow
Gnite,

I've managed it, gone a whole month without touching the evil weed. I know I'm over the worse now, I just don't want to get complacent cos I've quit twice before and started again.
Came off the patches after a week as they suddenly made me itch like crazy so now I just have the inhaler when things are tough.
Has anyone else ever suffered depression when quitting? I did on my second attempt and I'm heading that way again, the doctor says it's quite commonplace and should pass but I wondered if anyone else suffered? I've also had a blinding headache for the last 2 days (don't know if it's the weather, school holidays or nicotine withdrawal causing them!)
Good luck for the weekend everyone :beer:DMP mutual support number 199Debt free in [strike]2025[/strike] 2018 (hopefully a lot sooner!):j Smokefree since 10pm 2/7/08 :jBaby no.3 due 29/04/20110 -
hay simba i think all the thinking about not smoking wears you down, its all you think about and its all you try not to think about1
you just feel like ah id be so much happier if i had one rather than thinking about not havin one all the bloomin time
you need lots of comedy therapy me thinks, keep your mind occupied with loverlyness and a few months down the line you will feel better, it may even be a few days, its still early days for us yet
re your headache its prob all 3!
keep it up though, you wont feel like this foreverxxx
peops i cant come in as much as i want to now, it gets to me a bit, its like when you saw the stop smoking ads on the tv, the first thing id do was light up!
loves ya all thoughxxI am not bossy I just have better ideas:p0 -
hi all
iv nearly got through another morning - the hardest time for me is when i wake up - i cant wear patches through the night so i have a fight with myself whether to put patch on or just have one.....This does go away, after 2 weeks last quit i could get up have shower etc before i put patch on but at the moment i need to put patch on the minute i wake!
Congratulations to all those who have stuck with it and a month is a fab achievement.
I find i also get quite depressed, at the start of the quit i feel like im a different person without cigs and i dont like that person!
Good luck everyone and keep strong xx0
