Had my first real pang of wanting to smoke again whilst watching the film ‘Definitely Maybe’ yesterday evening. There’s a scene where the man and the woman are having a sort of smoking competition and me and OH were joking that that was how we used to be. :rotfl: The pang lasted all of 5 seconds and onto the good news, it will be 4 months for me smoke free on Monday! Yay! :j

2 of my work colleagues have been so impressed that they asked for the details of my hypnotherapist to quit and one of them has booked her daughter in for next week. :T

I have also noted that I can smell a smoker from 100 paces lol. Did I ever smell that bad? :o

i saw a hypnotherapist on July the 1st and have not smoked since. I am amazed how it has worked for me, I am so glad that i went.

\i too can now smell a smoker at a hundred paces!!!!! it is a very strong smell isn't it, i actually asked people if i smelt badly of cigarettes when i smoked and they said YES!!! :o

Good evening everyone, I hope we’re all well this evening?

Just spent some time catching up on what’s been going on over the last wee while, I’ve been off work so haven’t had the time to post/update so I’ll give a few quick shout-outs and I apologise if I miss you!

First off Lula, :Tvery well done:T, I’m super proud of you:T, I know how much it means to you so keep at it you’re doing a fantastic job and you’re the exact kind of inspiration people joining this thread for the first time need.

Lewki and wannabemoneysavingstar, what are we going to do with you two? I’m only joking, I know how difficult it is to stop so you two should keep encouraging each other and spurring each other on, you’ll crack it sooner rather than later, the fact that you are both trying to stop again so soon after your ‘blips’ speaks volumes about the determination you have!

Many congratulations to all the others who are all doing so well, it really is a wonderful feeling to be able to tell people that you’re a non-smoker as all the people who have celebrated anniversaries recently will tell you.

Hopefully I’ll be popping in and out more often to keep an eye on you all!

bubbles you're welcome to the help. 2 weeks is brilliant and I'll bet you are so thrilled with your success so far, well done !! You too Lula, your success keeps on getting better and better - terrific!!!:T

ExNicotineQueen & shoperholicnot 2 amazing cases showing that hypnotherapy definately DOES work, at least for you both, and with all the money we're all spent on the evils over the years, it's a small price to pay if it helps us succeed!! 4 moths is a GREAT time to get to shoper, very well done and congratulations to you both!:T

Welcome EmptyPockets! Good luck to both your and your OH and to help calm you, think of how good your health will so very soon be.....your pockets too!!!

Hi wanna, I'm so pleased you've taken the blip approach as I have you down for a winner!!! Keep strong from now on and don't lose that resolve, your health is relying on you!!!! :D Good luck LEWKI, having got so far before I'm hoping you're set to win too. D'you reckon your friend could have rocked you a bit by coming unstuck?

How long have you quit for now doltage? It has to be a good while surely.

All best wishes for another day in the making everyone, you're getting there and will soon be free of that evil demon!:D

Aw Doltage, I'm all :o now! Not really, I love praise :D . You should feel proud, it's peeps like you & sueuu & feedie who got me this far & if I can help inspire others in the same way you have all inspired me... that's  .

Well done to you & Feedie, nearly 4 months eh, :D  :D. I'm trailing a bit, nearly 4 weeks for me but every day that I dont smoke is another succesful day as far as I'm concerned & everyone whose starting out should bear that in mind.

Unfortunately I dont seem to be saving any money as I have been 'treating' myself to new clothes instead :o, pretty dress & shoes today so I'll have to not smoke for another 4 weeks just to pay for them  . Oh well, at least I can actually see what I'm spending money on now :p .

Keep up the good work everyone & have a great week end

    Lula x

Congratulations YM, I can remember you before you started counting the days down to your quit :D

Congrats to everyone else that are continuing to do so well, to those that have decided to take the plunge and those that are just dipping their toes in and toying with the idea :D

Take example from our oldies like YM (sorry to call you old YM ;)), TNG, IDA, Silverbullit, AB...just to name a few, it can be done and it's not as painful as you think :)

Thanks for continuing to give support to all that go through this thread, please keep it up!

    xx
