Can I join you? Wanting to stop smoking as its not doing me any favours!! health wise or finacially. Spending about £28.00 a week on killing myself. And in the process adding to my debt no doubt as I could be paying more of that.
So I suppose if its in the open then I have to make more of an attempt than I have done before. First No Smoke Day will be Monday. Have my Silk Quit lined up and ready to go.
Probably sounds like I have been stalking but just been reading threads over and over again just to convince myself that I can stop.
Thanks0 -

Hi All, how are you doing?? Sorry Wannabee, but I think you've found a word worse than lurking for looking at the posts without joining in. Can't we call it something like browsing??
seem to be quite a few jacking it in on Monday- all I can say is best of luck and stick with it. I used patches in the new year and they worked fine for me. If you do use patches don't be put off by any vivid dreams you might have at night, it's simply the nicotine from the patch in your bloodstream that your brain's not used to at night time. It will pass. I was advised to take mine off at night but I couldn't be bothered.0 -
Oh yes, i know about those vivid dreams, I had one last night. Was a bit upsetting actually but i know it will passLast cigarette smoked 29.05.08LBM: April 08Lloyds TSB: 3,500.00 (approx) :wall:Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 977 - Proud to be dealing with my debts :cool:0

Hi Guys...
After reading your thread for the last few days, have decided to join you all (if you'll have me)
Just done weekly shop, and instead of £25 on fags, have bought The Nicotine Trick Book, as recommended by so many friends, and one pack of 20 (well you can smoke while reading the book!:p The author encourages it!)
Hoping to start the book this evening, feel a little aprehensive but also a little excited(!) does that make sense????
Anyway,no doubt i will be back soon
Hugs

hi little miss welcome ,when you have smoked those ciggs come and join us .0

Hi all, I have lost count of the number of times today i have reached out for my cigarettes only to remind myself that i am not smoking anymore! I've been in the car and automatically put my hand down the side of the car door to get them, I have sat here on the computer and reached out over the desk for them. I have even looked in my handbag for that non-existant packet. Anyway, second patch on and things are going well!!Last cigarette smoked 29.05.08LBM: April 08Lloyds TSB: 3,500.00 (approx) :wall:Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 977 - Proud to be dealing with my debts :cool:0
