jfox ... made me laugh, and sorry folks if this is off topic but it reminded me of this

    THE STAGES OF SUCCESS

At age 4 success is.....not peeing in your pants.
At age 12 success is...having friends.
At age 16 success is...having a drivers license.
At age 20 success is...having sex.
At age 35 success is...having money.
At age 50 success is...having money.
At age 60 success is...having sex.
At age 70 success is...having a drivers license.
At age 75 success is...having friends.
At age 80 success is...not peeing in your pants

    i like it MF!

lula my hamster i think did some crazy dive off the top of her cage and now has a scab on her back :( i hope she will be okay, she hasn't looked very happy since we got her a new cage. Maybe she just prefers having less room.
We got her out last night and she just sat there on my leg not moving for about 20 minutes!!! very very unlike her. I gave her some extra monkey nuts today so hopefully that will cheer her up.

MF - that's great, will do my best to live up to those :D

Jfox - sorry to hear about hamster ( perhaps we should have a hamster thread rather than bargin in here :p ) hope she's ok.

Re the new cage, mine was the same, in fact for the first few days she removed all the bedding from her house & took it all downstairs in protest. She got used to it after a week or so but still gets the hump when we clean it out so now replace most of the food she's stashed just to keep her happy.

Imagine how furious we would have been if someone came in & cleaned out our ashtrays & removed our cigarettes that we'd carefully hidden :rotfl:

By the way - I fuelled car up this morning & didnt even think about buying any of the evil ones :D

    Catch you later guys,

Hi all, I am sitting here having just finished my last cigarette. I have been to the chemist this morning and bought myself a week's worth of patches so will be trying that out fairly soon! It kinda scares me knowing that I'm trying to never smoke again. I hope I can succeed this time and save 140 quid a month to put towards my debts :j . Im scared but determined! Good luck to everyone else who is struggling with this. I will post regularly (hopefully it will keep me motivated).

  • Hi everyone, Right i basically stumbled into this thread about a month ago & i think its brilliant. Ive tried to read every post as a result. Doing this has given me the courage to finally make the leap and quit

I had my last cigarette on sunday 25th before bedtime, im using the pills champix & lots of mints to help me. So far so good but its very hard i could so easily give in but i would gain nothing from it.

Thanks to everyone that post's here for giving me the couraage & the kick up the *@#*.:D

I will try and post as often as i can, and keep tabs on how everyone else is doing.

    Well done everyone:T

Oh that's nasty, hope it's easily repaired. My dishwasher packed up last week but I bought her flowers and all's fine now:eek:

Welcome along Sunnyteacake, the more the merrier! You’re heading for a great start and hopefully soon enough you’ll be saying you’re not trying never to smoke again but just never going to smoke again!

Hope everyone has had a nice stress free, smoke free day. For those who used to be 20 a day I hope you feel great that you’ve saved yourself almost 6 quid today, simply by being you-well done!

If you’re having a difficult day pop along and let us know, we can’t guarantee to make you feel better but maybe the time taken to type it out will help you see that a smoke isn’t going to help and that you will feel better soon.

    <edit>
Bobosim1979, welcome along to the fresh no smoking thread! Hope it all goes well for you, just bear in mind the first few days are going to be very difficult but you'll get there! Keep us updated!

    Hello & welcome to sunnyteacake & bobosim:hello:

Dear Feedie speaks the truth, we are the absolute best, we are even fabber than Fabby McFabster from Fabsville.

There you are Puzzy, glad you're back, I've been on your other post but think we'll keep that one to ourselves eh :shhh: .

I only popped in to say I think I may have snaffled another newby whose just confessed to a very naughty £300 a month habit  I just left a quick note to say how much we would like them to join us. Is that wrong ? I can feel Doltage rustling up another detention for me :p .

Shame about your wishdosher Feedie, hope that doesnt mean no more baking
I could devour another of those chocolate muffins please .

    I think I'm having a 2weekiversary tomorrow at 7pm, all welcome
