Well done Ann for surviving and dealing with all that stress and not sucumbing to the evil weed! A month now too, you go girl!
Congrats Silver and how good are you not having the "waccy baccy" that shows real self control.
Do you know I have a bubble of excitement that suggests we might just do it - oh how good are we.
    STILL NOT COMPLACENT BUT CONFIDENT.
Have a lovely (inspite of the damn weather!), stress and smoke free day.

Thank you robonz for that link, wish I had £40 to join up :(

I had a look round that website and found this video, do not watch if you're eating or faint hearted! Very straight to the point and very effective!

Hi guys, everyone is doing so well! Keep it up! My OH has started to return back to normal, I'm still quite resentful of him, but there's so much else going on I can't be bothered to stay cross! I was a complete nightmare yesterday, and I'm sure it was the evil cravings. I was in such a bad mood and was a horrible cow all day, I really could have had a cig, but didn't, yey!

I have the quit zits today though! Quite spotty where I don't ever usually get spots, on my cheeks and forehead, much worse then when I'm hormonal. I read that its the toxins coming out through your skin, but in my case it might be all that extra chocolate I'm eating!

Good luck today everybody, at lease this horrible weather is putting us off going outside for a cig!
    Quit smoking 12th July 07 :j
  • Found this on page 6 - good sign I guess as we don't need to post as often! Just thought I'd say hi, it really is getting easier but still think about it (occasionally) and still miss it (sadly) sometimes!! But on the whole I feel so much better, smell so much nicer (and bonus so do my children and house!) and am so much richer (although not really cause I keep spending it).
    Have a lovely day all.

Grrrrrrrrr, I didn't realise until this morning that I've run out of patches. That in itself sent me into pure panic (am I addicted to them!!!?), I drove to Tesco on the way to the station and they only had step 1 and 2, I'm on 3. So drove to sainsburys and they were the same. Neither of them stock step 3 GRRRRR. I asked a woman in Sainsburys who was unexceptionally jolly for 8am in the morning and she apologised and said maybe you should have kicked the patches by now? Huh??! I wanted to punch her! So I had to buy step 2 and cut them in half. They seem to be doing the trick and will last 2 weeks instead of 1 :D

I wanted to get them in Tesco or Sainsburys cos they're on offer, the one's in Sainsburys are half price so that's a result.

Ok I'm calm now :rotfl: just heated up my waffle, putting on tons of weight and going on holiday in 2 weeks  at least I'll be healthier and be able to run about with the kids (that's if my feet can take the excess weight )

Hope we're all doing good? Where's all the old posters, let us know how you're doing, even if you've fallen off the wagon - happens to the best of us :D

  • Hi All,
Hope everyone is well and still battling on. I've been a bit demented for a few days hence the silence!!

OK last Saturday Harry arrived on my doorstep - fab OH made me a cup of tea and told me to stay in bed for as long as I wanted as he would [strike]referee[/strike] take care of the kids. In the excitement of Harry and a lie in I forgot to put a patch on and haven't worn one since.:j

Jo I realise that I've probably just jinxed it, so huge thanks for the idea of cutting up a patch - got one or two spares left from my last box.
Nelmer well done - it's easier from here on in. :T
IDA, good to see you again - like you I'm spending it all - mainly on chewing gum and Cadbury products!!!! Need to rethink my latest challenge urgently - maybe consuming my own bodyweight in chocolate is not the best way forward!!!

I am starting to feel free.

    Take care all

Thanks to this fantastic site and it's amazing people, we have paid over £63, 000 off - just over half way!!!
    :T THANK YOU:T
  • Hi Tilly
Glad you're still with us and well done on "giving up the patches" too! You are lucky you get a lie in much as I love my dh he is as useless as a chocolate teapot (how much I'd enjoy a chocolate teapot right now - mmm ... oops off track there!!) when it comes to dealing with our brood! My money is going on chewing gum (Wrigleys extra) and chocolate (cadburys biscuit/wholenut large bars) too - me thinks very soon it will be going on some new larger clothes. Really have to get a grip with this cause I really don't want to go up a size but its looking that way - eek! Still better fat than smoky I suppose!!!
