I quit on 3rd June 2007 with a few glitches in the early days here and there which I refuse to acknowledge
Believe it or not, it does get easier, hence me not refreshing this thread every 5 minutes anymore :rotfl:
Edited to say it's actually the 3rd July, I just gave myself and extra month there :rotfl:DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
I did mine through the local health centre and got the patches on prescription. Had to check in every fortnight to let them know how I was doing. Anyone else done it that way?0

hiya everyone
i will have been stopped smoking for a year on 13th APril :j
i was on 20 fags a day, cost of around £120 per month with a constant hacking cough, wheezy chest and my life revolved around smoking!
the first few months are the hardest as you have that kinda 'somethings missing' grieving type process to go through but can honestly say you do become less and less pre-occupied with your quit over time. one of the things that stops me lapsing is the thought that i wouldnt wanna go through all that again. the quit is not easy and takes a lot of resolve to get through but it is so worth it!
especially with all us on MSE trying to save money smoking is a luxury that costs a lot of money so that was a big factor to me.
Keep going!!:beer:0 -
