Well, I am back. I started taking the Champix as directed and by day2 I felt soooo ill!! I was sleeping all day (and night), a banging headache and really, really sick. I had almost decided to quit with the tablets on Sunday as I felt so bad but then I had a ciggie and threw up. I think that was another LBM for me. It seems that the tablets with the ciggies was making me sick.
That was 11am on Sunday and I haven't had one since. I was fine that day and yesterday, but today has been horrible...I really want one now! But I keep telling myself that if I can just get through the next few hours until bedtime, tomorrow will be better.0 -
Hello everyone!
This is my first post but I've been reading this thread for a few days now. I hope you don't mind if I join you all? I quit (cold turkey) on the 8th Feb so I'm on day 11 now. I read Allen Carrs Easyway book and I just had to pack it in. I'm actually finding this week harder than the first week, for some odd reason:question: I'm also going through two packs of Wrigleys Extra chewing gum a day which isn't so good for the family as it contains sorbitol and plays havoc with your stomach:o On the plus side, I haven't gained any weight..... yet!:D
Good luck everyone!!!0 -

Welcome to the site, I quit at the end of December and have put on over half a stone:eek: which is terrible, will have to do something about it. I just feel hungry all the time, don't know why, I never did before and didn't even smoke very much. But good luck to you, there is plenty of support on here.Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:0 -

Morning everyone. I'm supposed to be helping OH at work now, but I've just had a relaxing bath and I'm having a cup of coffee to psyche myself up for the day ahead!!!
Galant-I'm sure I once read somewhere/or was told that if you weigh yourself late at night you weigh heavier-something to do with food consumed in the day??? Does this make sense to anyone??? Anyway, I always tend to get weighed in a morning. Nut what works for one doesn't necessarily work for another does it

Morning all- isn't it bitter outside? I walked past someone smoking outside their office this morning they looked freezing and quite odd- I felt a bit sick at the thought of smoking then. I bought Neil Casey The Nicotine trick off ebay for 5.99 but it cost 3.99 postage as well and took over a week tp get to me, but I'm nearly through it now, I'm sort of beginning to understand it, but may need a double dose. Kathy the chamix will get better- i too thought of stopping taking them but I'm on wk 6 now (wk 4 of stopping smoking) and they're fine.Compulsive Spendaholic #150

Morning all,
Hope everyone is doing well? :T
Work is really busy at the moment so difficult to post, but I am keeping up with the training and I'm starting to get lots of sponsors so there's not backing out now!
