Thanks and yeah, I am!!
I used to buy a carton of 200 every Sunday with the shopping (cheaper at Tesco). When I had those I felt "safe". I remember going on a booze cruise to Bilbao when Joe and I stocked up with booze and fags before Christmas year before last. I think I bought about 2,000 then. I remember thinking they would last me yonks. Of course, they didn't! But I remember stacking them up on the shelf. I can barely believe that that is the quantity I've now NOT smoked... :eek:QUIT SMOKING 4/11/07 :j0 -
Oh - and Basilcat - well done you on the payrise mate - great news! (add that to the tax-free payrise you've given yourself by quitting and see how much better off you are
)

Good.! She'll be able to call it something proper this time :rolleyes:
NO-ONE is 'giving up' ANYTHING. It's the exact opposite. Remember that, folksBas wrote:... By the way I am a girl.....
So is JoeHel, Bas(least, that what she tells US!!)

Hello.
Im a regular on the old style boards and was kindly given this link by tattycath.
I today have been to my first stop smoking support group session and have set a quit date for this fri!
Im feeling very possitive, and i have tried many times in the past but have never asked for support.
I will be using the 24 hour patchs.
Rough history i am a 30 year old married housewife with 4 kids, who has been smoking for 10yrs approx 25 a day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My motivation apart from the health issues is
1-For my husband and kids
2-Money, it will make me reach my dfd sooner!
I hope you dont mind me joining in, i am at home alone most days and may need to come and ask for support from you guys!!
Good luck and well done to everyone
