    Do that then :)

Keep busy - walk rather than take the bus anywhere, drink water/cranberry juice if you have it, just do stuff. The more your mind is occupied, the less you will think about it

You have to be comfortable with your choice, otherwise you're on an uphill battle before you start

Best of luck, mumzy - we're all here rooting for you......

They say that cranberry juice is the best for 'detoxing', but I reckon liquid in general helps to flush your system, so whatever you have

    EDIT : back soon....:D

Back again - all bills paid :D

Tobruk - pleeeeeeeease don't worry - I'm so sorry if it sounded like I was preaching. I get so carried away sometimes - sorry!!! No, I didn't mean that cold turkey was the only way and I know lots of people have successfully quit with NRT products. I only meant that all the stuff on WhyQuit.com and in the books I've read this time is geared towards the cold turkey method and building up a hatred towards nicotine in particular! I guess it's working on me, eh... heh heh. No - like I said first off - the important thing is to get off ciggies so whatever works for you mate you just do it. You learned from last time that you can't get complacent and have one 'cos you think you can "handle" it - fact is, once an addict always an addict and we can't let them get us hooked again!

I seriously have huge respect for anyone quitting or trying to quit and I didn't mean to infer that any way was better than another. Like TNG said, it's something we've both found to work and we're so happy with the method that we want everyone to find it this easy to quit. But I absolutely accept that everyone will have a different method that "clicks" for them.

So anyway... how are you feeling today?

If it's any consolation I am feeling VERY SPOTTY today!!! I think it's the rubbish starting to work it's way out of my system properly... I feel like a teenager - OXY-10 anyone?! :rotfl:

mumzy - any fruit juice is fine. If you're doing the cold turkey method, it helps get the nicotine out of your system quicker. If you're using NRT it'll still help regulate your blood sugar levels and hopefully make you feel less jittery.

Sending you the Paul McKenna book tomorrow morning babe so you should have it by the weekend. Make sure you listen to the CD when you're laid down and don't have dinner on though, 'cos it does send you to sleep :D

that reminds me - I've got one somewhere that came with a CD.... if I find it I'll offer it up. I remember this woman repeating "you are strooonger than your smoking habit, you are strooonger than your smoking habit"

Must dig that out now :D
