I'll warn you this is quite tough to see. But please just take a look. This is the pic that did it for me. There's no blood or organs or anything on show!!!

This man was 34 years old and the pic underneath was taken just 2 months earlier.

You'll understand why I said it would be hard for any parent to imagine their child having to see them like that....

Deaks, I'm so glad you've found it as motivating as I did. I was pointed to the site by someone on another competition forum (and I'll thank them forever for it) but jo did mention the site in her initial post on this thread. I just thought a reminder wouldn't hurt as it's been a godsend to me. Maybe because it's not as woolly as Allen Carr or as fluffy as other stuff I've seen. It's just honest.

I particularly loved the list of excuses with answers to them all. I could relate to nearly all of them!!

  • JoeHel - I agree tough but hell is it effective... glad you pointed that site out to me - there is so much illness and disease in the world and to think that smokers are actually increasing the risks how many times???

When you look at that you realise how mad you must have been!!

at 34 years old, poor sod - like anything you keep putting it off and putting it off thinking it will never happen to you!!

Awful - Day 3 coming up and my determination is growing, feel better already

  • Mumzy of 2 - you joining us non-smokers tomorrow?

    Really hope so ...

YOU CAN DO IT - I am so damn determined this time - sick of smoking - it's a pain in the !!!!, expensive and it kills you and damages those around you - health wise and financially

Day 3 is the final surge and I have to say that in a really perverse way I thoroughly enjoyed it. I revelled in feeling that nicotine monster go through it's "death roll" and take it's final gasps for breath. I got through a litre of cranberry & raspberry juice, took deep breaths and felt more confident than I'd done in a LONG time! I walked along the street with a faster pace and my head held high. It's an amazing achievement and OMG you will not regret it.

mumzy, I want you to feel it too!! You can be there by the weekend... ;)
