    Injection fine --

Main nurse said she didn't want it done as I was ill, but I persuaded her too, knowing mum would kill me.

Nurse who did it calmed me down, talked to me, I felt a tiny pain, looked at her and went right are you gonna do it now? And she said I've done it. I went stop it, just do it. It didn't hurt much!!! :)

    But, my reaction caused chaos.

I ended up not being allowed away because I was dizzy, leaning to one side, and could barely walk.

This afternoon, I was in the medical room for 2 hours.

    So boring, but no lessons.

But I still feel ill, and the bad bit is the injection is meant to hurt hours after, and my arm is starting to ache now. And by tomorrow, they said I won't be able to use it.

Was it a BCG injection? I think you can take paracetamol for the pain, ask your mum.

My DD is 15 and didn't have the BCG this year, apparently they've stopped doing it now, only for risk groups. My DD2 had hers practically straight after being born 2 years ago. Weird how it changes so quick.

What is BCG? It is TB?

It was Polio, Tetanus and Diptheria (another booster - next one when I'm 25, but its my choice)

Did you leave your work PC on yesterday?
  • Are you in Year 10 Adz? My ds no1 had a BCG for TB at the end of year 10 but can't recall him having the triple top up (think thats what you've had) my ds no2 is in yr 10 now and I don't think any injections are planned - if they are and they tell him in advance he'll do a runner :rotfl: :rotfl: , he's a member of St Johns ambulance and brilliant at treating people but completely useless at being a patient!!!:rotfl:
    Hi Jo.
    Hope everyone is doing okay.
    Question:
When do you think the craving will disappear completely? I still get taken by surprise by the desire for a ciggie every now and then and it bugs me - I can deal with it generally but I do worry it will catch me one day when my guard is down.
I must be sure to remain on my guard and maintain my confidence but still not become complacent!!
    Take care all.
    love and hugs

    BCG is a tuberculosis one.

Nah my pc was turned off at 5.35pm but sometimes the green light stays on for a while I've noticed with other people that have logged off but appear not to have done....does that make sense, just read it back and it made no sense!

Yeh I'm in Year 10. TB jabs aren't done in Lancashire. But, weeks after, a local school had a case, and everyone there had to have the vaccine.
