Hi IDA, no she came home
I know she doesn't want to stay there but she is not going to get better till she gets a break away from it all. She needs to go to meetings and be given routine like she's had in the past when she's been in detox, it's just so scary for her that she wanted to come home. Dread to think what I'll find when I get home tonightDFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
Is she staying with you? Has she any other family or are you her only support? Please stay strong - you are coping so well.

She lives 2 doors down from me, her son moved out a little while ago as he couldn't stand her drinking, so she sits indoors and does nothing but think about drinking. A few of us neighbours are good friends so we all keep her busy when we can. I'm taking her to an AA meeting either tomorrow or Friday night so hopefully I'll be able to get her back on track soon. She was doing so well, 4 months under her belt then let the drink back in the house a few weeks ago, that's fatal cos then she will justify herself till the cows come home about why it's okay to do it.DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0

Oh Jo how awful, hope she gets sorted out and doesn't cause you too much hassle. Remember though if you're stressed before you have a ciggy you won't be any less stressed after you've had one, you'd just be really p***ed off about that on top of the stress.
Just back from the no smoking lady and despite my slip ups my CO level has gone from 27 I think the day I first saw her to 11 last week and..........drum roll please............6 this week!!!!!!!! Lady even said she's had a 6 before from just walking around where there's a lot of traffic! If ever there was a kick up the bum to motivate you there it is, find a stop smoking clinic and get you CO levels checked weekly. I'm feeling like I'm seeing a difference now, in my bank balance and my health.:jJust need to get through my first complete week without one now.....................:rolleyes:Smokefree since 27-9-20070 -
