So this is my slightly delayed 1st of the month post.
I've been away camping and well, although it was a highly mse holiday (i personally spent zero!), being in the middle of a field isnt conducive to blog posting

Hello Diary,
I'm feeling a bit blah atm. MSE plans are going well but i keep finding myself wishing the weeks away to the end of the month or Christmas. I have everything planned out for paying off the debt and when to start thinking about a family but it just seems so long away. Humph.
However being depressed is just boring so i'm set some mini targets so things don't seem so far away....
Holiday :cool:: 41 days away
Christmas  135 days away
2nd wedding anniversary: 197 days away
Debt Free Day: 233 days away
In relation to our holiday, its now less than 6 weeks awayi need £30 to meet my euro target and am refusing to buy any new clothes as i simply dont need them.
Then next up is Christmas. I love Christmas. So i might do a little present list to mull over (i normally shop in October/Early November as i hate it when the shops get too busy).
Budgets:
DH - £50
Mum - £30
Dad - £30
BF1 - £15
BF2 - £10
Secret Santa - £10
Aunt - Bought
Cousin - Bought
Total: £145 - hopefully i can get this lower but gives me something to work with
DH gets presents for his side from his wages so i dont need to budget for them (although i help him to spend and buy for them).
Ahh i feel better now:rudolf: DF by Xmas 2018: #83 £8,250/£15,000 55% :rudolf:

Loving the diary btwDebt: Aug 2013 = £15,942 😱0 -
Aww thanks warnerwife! I am wishing the months away it seems, however April 2014 isnt that far away and i still have a lot to do in the mean time to get rid of the debt.
How about you? i saw you posted on the wttc thread - when were you thinking of waiting 'til? do you have anything in mind that you want to achieve 1st?:rudolf: DF by Xmas 2018: #83 £8,250/£15,000 55% :rudolf:

Hi, probably won't start trying until end of next year, we want as many of our debts gone, if not all by then, and it's do able. We also need to move before we bring another person into the world eek!Debt: Aug 2013 = £15,942 😱0 -
2015 for a baby isnt too far away warnerwife! i'm probably looking at that too (by the time all the ducks are in a row). Atleast you have a big reason to spur you on to become DF.:rudolf: DF by Xmas 2018: #83 £8,250/£15,000 55% :rudolf:

No your right Jonesy88 esp if next year goes as quick as this one, (in no way wishing my life away, in fact sometimes I wish I could slow down time to get more done!)
It's definitely the push we both need, it'll be tough but it'll be worth it to not be stressed about money, I'm so sick of that 😉Debt: Aug 2013 = £15,942 😱0 -
Hellooooo Diary!
Just a quick financial update from me:
CC: £500
Loan: £3000/£5000 - woo 60% paid
Car: £800/£5000 - 16% paid
Total: £3800/£10000 - 38% paid
The holiday fund is now fully paid up and it's only 31 days away! I'm now going to use my rounddown account towards Christmas now so hopefully it'll help nearer the time.
:xmassmile Virtual Piggy Bank: £5.45
I've also joined the next 100 day challenge taking across my remaining loan balance of £2000. Hopefully i can get it gone by Nov 27th (the challenge end date) - that would be amazing!:rudolf: DF by Xmas 2018: #83 £8,250/£15,000 55% :rudolf:

September is here
and so it's time for my traditional 1st of the month post.
Scores on the doors:
NSK August: Food: £42/£30 Spends: £20/£20 Petrol: £0/£20 SFDs: 18/20
I did go over on food but managed to go a whole month without putting petrol in my car so it evens out beautifully. September is going to be a very tight month so i've decided to allocate NO SPENDS for this month. Anything i want will have to be earnt first on e3ay and the like. I'm hoping this will force me to plan and also consider if spending on x y or z is worth it.
NSK September: Food: 0/£40 Spends: 0/£0 Petrol: 0/£20 SFDs 1/18
Debts:
Credit card: £500 (this will be gone next payday)
Loan: £1850
Car: £4150
:xmassmile Virtual Piggy Bank: £11.30
It's now 20 days until my holiday  and 212 days until my DFD!:rudolf: DF by Xmas 2018: #83 £8,250/£15,000 55% :rudolf:

Hmmm, i saw Martin on tv talking about compensation for delayed flights. We were delayed overnight coming back from Canada in 2009 but as we booked through a canadian company i dismissed the idea that we could claim. However i checked the flight stats website and it seems our flight was a Th0mas C00k one - ie from the EU. So perhaps we can claim? I've submitted a claim form so fingers crossed...:rudolf: DF by Xmas 2018: #83 £8,250/£15,000 55% :rudolf:
