Baby fund...?:)Debt Jan 2017 = £42kMay 2022 = £15k0 -
Hello lovely visitors!
The baby fund is a savings account for when we have a family. I'm not pregnant but if I were to have a baby, my income would drop to SMP and as I'm the breadwinner we would struggle. So we've put a bit aside so I could have a year off and continue as we are.
Anyway, it's the beginning of the month so time for a figures update:
Current Debts:- Loan: £8500
- Credit Card: £2000
- Overdraft: £500
Savings Aspirations:- Baby Savings (£5000 target)
- Emergency Savings (£1000 target)
- Round down account (£250 target in June, £250 again for December)
Goals for January:- Clear overdraft - moved to Feb
- Put up mirror
- Lose 9 pounds - lost 6.8, pleased with that.
- Exchange coins for notes from change pot
- List 20 things on eBay.
Goals for February:- Clear overdraft
- Put up mirror
- Lose 8 pounds
- List rest of eBay pile
The loan is reducing nicely (£500 pm including OP) and come February payday the overdraft will be gone (yay!). My main focus will be trying to raise funds by working through my eBay selling pile, which I'll use to build up my round down account as I'm hoping there will be enough come June to buy my euros
I'm also hoping to achieve 15 NSDs this month, wish me luck!:rudolf: DF by Xmas 2018: #83 £8,250/£15,000 55% :rudolf:
SPC 7: #135 :staradmin | MFW 9.72% | Groceries: £6.49/£80 | Exercise 0/20 | NSDs 0/150 -
I love how youve written your goal for the months, well done on the weight loss.
That loan will soon be gone making payments like that, i wish i could get a balance down that quickly!!Still here..... but working on that!0 -
Hi LSD,
I must confess we've really cut back in order to make the OP, I do it in the hope that things will be easier when we start a family. Seeing the balance materially change spurs us on.
February has started wellI've managed to list my eBay pile (just hope it sells) and has 4 NSDs so far.
