Welcome to 2014! I have big plans this year :D This is the year I get out of debt and start saving so i can start doing the things I sooo want to do.

Realistically my DFD will be June 2014. I had wanted to be clear by my birthday in April but this was always going to be ambitious. I'll still try but I don't want to set expectations for myself that are too much.

    Scores on the Doors:

Overdraft: £50 (formally the joint loan, 99% paid)
    Car: £3450 - 31% paid

    VSP 2014: £16.53
    SPC 7: ??
    £365 in 365: £0 - I'll update for January next week I think
    CCC 2014: £0 spend/£0 earned

Goals for January: (I may have stolen this idea, mwah ha ha :p)

    1. Clear overdraft.
    2. Get under £3k.
    3. Get under 12st.
    4. Only have 1 takeaway/treat this month.
    5. Do not buy any clothes/make-up/toiletries.
    6. Speak to Dad regarding family holiday in September so I can budget.
    7. Keep up to date with all my Challenges.

Hmm... Thats enough to keep me going for now!

    ETA: Thought of some more:

    8. Join a weightloss group/class.
    9. Achieve 20 SFDs.
    10. Do an exercise DVD atleast 3 times a week.

10 seems like a round number!
    :rudolf: DF by Xmas 2018: #83 £8,250/£15,000 55% :rudolf:
    SPC 7: #135 :staradmin | MFW 9.72% | Groceries: £6.49/£80 | Exercise 0/20 | NSDs 0/15

Goal 8 completed - I've joined a local class which runs every Wednesday.

    Starting Weight: 12st 12
    Goal Weight: 9st 7

    Bring it on!

I finished last week on £36/£40 on the WSC, so within budget. This week i'm currently on track at £9/£10 but a takeaway has been purchased (pre-diet obviously). No more takeaways allowed.

This week i'm feeling really tired. I keep waking up before my alarm though so i'm getting frustated at myself  work is also realllyyy busy. Nothing more to add really!

I also came in at £9/£10 on WSC 05/01/14 and am currently £2 into this weeks tenner :)

ETA: Oooo i almost forgot, as if i don't have enough challenges at the moment, i joined Buffy's 50p thread. This will be OH and my "treat" box so something we want not need :)

    Hellooooo Diary,

I am not doing well on the weight loss front :(. Several takeaways have been consumed and I didn't like my new class :(:(. Woe is me.

However being fed up is boring so onwards and upwards - i have a plan. I'm joining SW with a friend next Monday, which will be substantially cheaper than the previous class and won't make me feel guilty about "wasting" money. Surely eating less should be cheaper? :rotfl:

I am also removing the temptation to buy takeaways by making myself skint - any spare cash can overpay something useful, like the car loan, and make me look twice as good :D Looking good will be important as our holiday is booked for September , only £900 to save up for by July

On a completely random note I've had my hair cut for the 1st time in ages and now have a fringe :)

Well it's nearly the end of January :) it's seemed like such a long month. I'll do scores on the doors tomorrow, as wanted to update my Jan challenges:

    1. Clear overdraft. Tick
    2. Get under £3k. By the skin of my teeth
    3. Get under 12st. :rotfl: No where near! However i am now 12st 8 so progress made
    4. Only have 1 takeaway/treat this month. :oFail
    5. Do not buy any clothes/make-up/toiletries. Achieved :)
    6. Speak to Dad regarding family holiday in September so I can budget. Need to save up £900 for me and OH plus spends
    7. Keep up to date with all my Challenges. Done
    8. Join a weightloss group/class. I joined 2! fingers crossed for SW
    9. Achieve 20 SFDs. Just
    10. Do an exercise DVD atleast 3 times a week.:rotfl:

Ok I have made some progress and some slip ups - i need to think of some new targets for February, but i think 10 is much, maybe 5? hmmm...

So now we're firmly in 2014, and i'm making some DFW progress :D, i've even started to make some small mortgage overpayments. Only £50 but every little helps.

    Scores on the Doors:

    Car: £2975 - 40% paid

VSP 2014: £1.40 - this has taken a hit but managed to transfer £35 to the loan
    SPC 7: ??
£365 in 365: £90 - paid up until the end of March
CCC 2014: £0 spend/£0 earned - although i want a couple of things this month.

    Goals for February:

    1. Get under 12st and exercise 3 times a week.
    2. Get debt under £2500
    3. No buying more then 3 clothing items and make them all cost neutral

    Afternoon!

I have been sooooo busy this week, work has been manic. I enjoy my role but i'm starting to feel a bit undervalued, hmm. I don't really want to move jobs again but it keeps popping up in the back of my mind.

A job change also keeps cropping up as I've seen a house and absolutely fallen in love with it :) It's right at the top of our budget though but currently is little more than plans! I emailed the developer and building is due to start in May. They need a £1000 deposit to secure the purchase but i still have quite a few questions and don't want to jump in blindly. Still, it's playing on my mind enough to consider changing my DFW plans to start saving for the deposit, selling fees, stamp duty...

I've got a week of annual leave at the end of the month so plan to do some serious investigation then regarding the house. Until then, i will remain a committed DFWer!

    Anyway, enough rambling. Updates:

Monday was my first SW weigh in:
    Week 1: 12st 4 - which is a staggering -4lbs!

    Loan: £2870 remaining - 43% paid
    VSP: £5.18

I've also bought a coat from new l00k using ebay funds so am still on track for a cost neutral clothes year :)
