Bossy Hope your gap between football was ok. Too cold for sitting around.

    It was snowing
We popped into tosco, got sausage rolls and iced buns, scoffed in the car with the heater on, then left football after 20min as DS refused to join in. I've taken his kit off him and told him its going in the bin  feel really cross.

DD did hers though and scored a couple of goals :T

    Gits. :rotfl:

Home now, it's freezing, so heating on and pjs for rest of day I think.

    Hello

feeling lots better; thanks for the mentions.

feeling 'end of the holidayish' though

    Mummyof5 - that's a traipse for him from yours...

Anyway I have ironed, stripped DS's bed and remade it; washing blowing on line.

DD and I made tapas last night, Patatas Bravas; Tortilla Espanola and a Pollo thing that should ahve had 12 hours to marinade and got one; but I squeezed the lime to speed it up.

    Kitchen smells VERY continental today.

How times have changed. The man who at one time would not ask me for advice (because I knew nowt;)) (ex oh) has asked me for some today, on behalf of his partner who is now being chased for 'overpaid' tax credits from 2008.
I have always found tax credits the hardest thing to understand, but she was a single parent at the time; have suggested she write and get a breakdown of what they think they have overpaid her. Given they have had the wrong address I don't know whether to believe their request is accurate.
Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY

  • Ho hum.....

DD2 went out last night. She was not drinking (her decision) and i think she would have had a good night had ex-b/f not been there! He sobbed all over her, was ver nearly sick all over her and then got himself arrested!( it was a case of mistaken identity! - He's in the clear!)

But he followed her round the club all night....

She has gone for lunch with a mate. She says she has had no sleep, and I believe her! She looks awful - right on the edge. I somehow have to convince her that she needs more sleep, more relaxation and less screen time over the coming weeks....

Under the bed is on DD's list and she's not here. It's not going to get done today as the rugby is about to start. I may try and get the rest done tomorrow.........

    TMD belated birthday wishes.

Piggers O!! M!! G!! Words fail me - so I'll just send the largest bundle of posi-vibes I can muster, and thank the gods no-one was badly hurt.

Posi-vibes also for Miss Yorkie - sounds like she could use 'em.

I was nearly in tears last night, fretting about visiting the pharmacy again today - so Mr LW:A said he'd park my wheelchair outside, and he'd go in and see what they'd got for us. The good news.... my insistence on having a "meds owing" slip was a good plan - all the missing meds are now safely in my possession. I just have to run the gauntlet of the [STRIKE]fire-breathing monster[/STRIKE] GP's receptonist to get an appointment with Dr F when my meds review is due, now. Unless (she says, hopefully) they get the online appointments system working properly.:o

TMD-id Happy birthday for yesterday. LW I'm glad you're finally stocked up with the necessary medications. I've thrown lots more sticks for your BD. Pigpen, words truly fail me. I hope the rest of the visit and the journey home go smoothly, gently and without incident of any kind.

Dog is busy trying to work out how to get the bacon flavour out of the bowl, leaving behind the honey and scrambled eggs. She's a smart cookie, so she will realise eventually it's the thinest possible smear of fat from the frying pan scraped over the bottom of the bowl.

    Carpet scrubbing occurred. Twice.

... frog friccase, frog a la greque, frog blancmange, frog flan ....
    Better is good enough.

Message for Dog: Eat up your food like a good girl, and take your meds when you're given them. (((Gentle hug))). Auntie Wolfy know's what she's talking about, ok?

Mr LW:A has helped me hand-wash my grey skirt - well I say grey, it's grey velvety material with a sort of purple fleck throughout. I can't put it in the WM because it has non-detachable glass beads on the equally non-detachable tie belt. It was in dire need of a wash - I wore it most days Mary was here (in order to just have one skirt to wash) and it's had the hem trodden on with Mr LW's wellie boots (I was wearing them) so many times during Mary's stay. I needed the assistance to wash it because I can't lift it when it's wet, as it's too heavy for me.:o
