It is so cold here, I wondered if the heating was working and have had the fire alight since midday - mainly free wood but need to send DH to get some more coal to add to it tomorrow.
Just going to wash up and put WM on, always struggle Friday night to stay awake to get DS2 from work at 10:30, DH crashed out across our bed already.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

OH crashed the car half way up the M62.. The tiddlies were both fast asleep and Squeak woke up and was crying and saying 'what happened? What happened?'... poor pea was really scared.. until she got some juice and a biscuit thrust in her hand. Noone was hurt thankfully!
My back however is broken, as are my hips, and to go with my UTI I have silly-tonsils AGAIN!!! I can't have anything without getting this as well.. I wonder if I'd get silly tonsils if I got an infected ingrown toe!.. I may experiment

Well, the list is getting smaller, should make for a slightly easier week next week.
Just need to keep WM & TD on the go all weekend, although I did set up the timers to catch the cheap leccy overnight :money:
DD2 left her room for all of 5 minutes before returning and barracading herself in with food and drink, so I will have to venture in there tomorrow;)
Marvellous Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
Level One
[STRIKE]Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces[/STRIKE]
Level Two
[STRIKE]Sweep[/STRIKE] and mop floors
Sort & clean fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front, clean out any spills or grots in there!
[STRIKE]Wipe dining table..[/STRIKE] (clean table cloth if necessary)
Level Three
Dust any extra furniture in dining area, checking for cobwebs on way round
[STRIKE]Wipe and replace all those small appliances.. kettle, toaster etc[/STRIKE] microwave, cookerhood and kitchen cupboard handles too while cloth had the stainless cleaner on it
[STRIKE]Clean out the cupboard full of pasta and packets and pickles.. [/STRIKE] swapped this for the cereal, bread and jam cupboard
Clean cupboard door fronts and fronts of appliances .. don't forget those kick boards..
Check those filters and drawers for ickiness, gackiness and fluff!!
Extra tasks list, as usual choose one or more
- Wipe window sills and clean windows in these rooms
- Wipe down any tiles and shine those taps.. a toothbrush is great for cleaning away the gunk!
- Clean oven if it really needs it.. or [STRIKE]just do the hob [/STRIKE]or a knob!!..
[STRIKE] - 29 fling boogie.. GO![/STRIKE]
[STRIKE] - Empty the bin.. wash it out.. and make it smell SWEET[/STRIKE]
- Meal plan for the next week and make a shopping list... based on what you found in the freezer and those things that need using from weekly cupboard sweep.

Level 2
[STRIKE]Dusting, even if around everything & water & wipe the poor neglected plants![/STRIKE] in porch, harvested last remaining cherry tomatoes and removed dying tom plant to compost bin, wiped money plant (carefully avoiding its flowers) in hope of more money
[STRIKE]Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe [/STRIKE]
[STRIKE][STRIKE]Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets[/STRIKE][/STRIKE]
Vacuum under furniture you can manage to move without hurting yourself
Level 3
[STRIKE]Wipe light switches, sockets (make sure they are not switched on!!) [/STRIKE]and banister
Clean windows &[STRIKE] any other glass like mirrors, pictures etc[/STRIKE] and 3 glass panelled doors from forensic evidence of DS's misdeeds
[STRIKE]Tidy shoes, coats and bags .. Are there any that need rehoming?[/STRIKE]
Wipe skirtings, doorframes and other paintwork
Extra Mission:
Pick one or more of the following tasks –

- Paperwork clearance.. spend 15 minutes minimum sorting through those piles of paper.. the bottom 6 inches is just rubbish it has been there so long I'm surprised it isn't compost!![/STRIKE]
- Extra 30 minutes ironing.. school uniforms? work clothes?
- Change any dead lightbulbs in the house!
- Clean a radiator or two.
- Binbag dance.. Get a binbag.. fill it and bin it!!!
[STRIKE] - Bake something delicious for the family.. or just for yourself![/STRIKE] Lemon Bread and Butter pudding and adzuki bean and vegetable lasagne

Dusting.. all those shelves and flat fluffy surfaces!! Don’t forget the light shade and curtain pole!!!
[STRIKE]Strip beds,[/STRIKE] turn and vacuum mattresses!! and [STRIKE]replace with fresh linen[/STRIKE] .. check if duvets need freshening up too!!
Level Three
[STRIKE]Rummage ALL the junk from under the bed and sort through it..[/STRIKE] I HATE this task!!!
Wash the nets/curtains.. and while they are down clean those face prints off the window!
Wipe any sticky marks off walls and doors
[STRIKE]If you manage to get the floor cleared.. vacuum the rest that you couldn't see before.. it'll look like a new room![/STRIKE]

- Book a night out.. with your friends or husband or anybody.. just go have a day or an evening out.. go dance, go party, go for a meal, go shopping.. whatever.. just get out and enjoy yourself.. and children are NOT allowed!!!!!.. This one is not optional!

Clear a mega hotspot!.. shred it.. and fling it.. or just burn it!

- Wipe the skirtings, door and window frames in these rooms
- Wipe down the doors and frames in these rooms.
- Clean the radiators in these rooms
- Fling all those empty bottles and tubes
- Replace sponges/flannels/toothbrushes that are in need

Wow, Pigpen, I hope you are all OK and safe. With all that on top of everything else, you really are having a bad run of luck at present, aren't you? Big (((hugs))) and another load of spoons coming your way. And of course endless cups of tea and toast - the adult version of juice and biscuit comfort food.
I do hope you've all returned to your own home rather than continuing your journey, but somehow I have a horrid feeling that you are on the wrong side of the Pennines...0 -
